Key Scriptures

•Ephesians 2:8–9 (NIV)“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”

→ This is the cornerstone text showing salvation is grace-based, not works-based.

•Romans 3:23–24“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”

→ No one measures up by deeds; justification is by grace. •Titus 3:4–5

“But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.”

→ Our salvation rests in His mercy, not our moral report card. •John 3:16–17“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”

→ Eternal life is a matter of faith in Christ, not tallying deeds. •Galatians 2:16

“…a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.”

→ Works of law cannot save—faith alone in Christ justifies.
