I know you think it's your responsibility to always be the strong friend, to be the person that everyone goes to, and to always feel okay.
But guess what? It's not!
I am challenging that notion you have in your head that believes you have to be strong 100% of time. Because, let's face it: We all need help at some point in our lives. We were not made to live a life alone, and to always carry such a heavy load.
There's so much power in being vulnerable and asking for help. Whether you are asking God for help, going to therapy, or reaching out to family or friends..... IT IS OKAY TO NEED HELP.
I went though a tough season alone, and it left me depressed, exhausted, and in a dark space. Looking back, I wish I would have asked for help sooner. I am so grateful for God for challenging that notion in my head 'that asking for help is weak' because that notion is false!
I want to encourage you all to reach out to someone when your load gets heavy. You cannot fight this battle alone. That's why God created things and people to help you along the way. Even the most incredibly strongest person needs help, believe it or not.
I hope you all have a great week.
Reach out if you need help.
Be vulnerable.
I love you all.
As always, take care. ✨
Let's face it: We all have been through some type of ordeal, unfortunate situation, or have stumbled upon an obstacle or two. It's inevitable. It's life.
My therapist told me it's not about what you've been through (or are currently going through) but how you respond to the situation. Join me as I discuss how I got through one of the darkest moments of my life, and how I overcame depression, self-pity, and self-doubt.
I love you all, and I praying for your spiritual wellness. 🙏🏽✨

Have you ever sat with yourself for five minutes and did absolutely nothing? Ever dedicated a day to rest? If you answered NO to any of these questions, guess what?
You are not alone.
Society has us thinking we need to be hyper-productive and on-the-go 24/7 and I'm here to tell you... THAT'S NOT IT!
The other day, I challenged myself to honor my body and do absolutely nothing. In doing that, I learned to live in the moment and enjoy the simple joys of life. I watched movies, cooked dinner, and had a glass of wine, and guess what? I don't feel guilty about it!
Inspired by the film Eat Pray Love, I decided that I didn't have to go to Italy to experience paradise. Paradise is in our minds. We create the world we want to live in. This film really opened my eyes, and humbled me in a way. I was able to put so much in perspective, and learn to enjoy the simple things in life.
In today's episode, I simply just discuss the Simple Art of Doing Nothing.
Like seriously, take some time for yourself.
Do whatever it is that makes you happy.
I love you all.
Honor your bodies.
Find time to relax and unwind.
Do nothing.
As always,
Take care. ✨
Do you struggle with overthinking? Procrastination? Or fear of failing?
I've been there. We all have been there. But it is ultimately our choice to decide if we want to stay there.
I want to help you so that you don't remain stuck, or stagnant. I want you to pivot! I want you to receive all that God has for you because you truly deserve it.
In today's episode, I discuss four habits that are preventing you from pivoting. These habits are:
I really want to encourage you to get out of your own way! Get out of your head! You are not your thoughts. You are competent, you are capable, you are worthy. Claim it!
🔨 Tools to Help You Along the Way:
I love you all.
Be well.
Get out of your head and to the bag!
As always,
Take care. ✨
Happy Monday!
We're on Week #2...
This week, I want to remind you to ONLY give power to things that serve your highest good! Like, we are NOT feeding into negativity, cursing people out, or giving others the joy of seeing us behave in any manner that is not like us. NOT TODAY! To do this you may have to:
Pray this prayer with me:
"Father God, I pray for strength to endure, and the wisdom to make the necessary adjustments to sustain my peace. I pray for patience to stay the course, and for the mental toughness to honor my righteous choice.
I've made mistakes in the past, and done some things simply because they felt good, and because I wanted to, but I have changed and I'm still changing.
I'm not who I once was, and I do possess the power to say "NOT TODAY!" I am free because God has made me free. I will not be failing today! I will not be walking in fear today. I will not be losing my faith, and I for sure won't be giving up on God today!"
I pray you all have a great week!
Let's move different.
I love you all.
As always,
Take care. ✨
Do you struggle with getting things done? Struggle with anxiety? Or do you struggle with high levels of exhaustion?
Trust me, I've been there too.
Working remotely from home has its ups and down. Last year, I found myself exhausted with very little motivation to do anything. I also felt very alone, and isolated. Believe me, I know.. it is not a good feeling.
In this episode, I discuss seven ways to raise your frequency when you are in a dump. It has helped me tremendously, and I am sure it can help you as well!
Happy February!
Happy Black History Month!
I love you all.
Be good.
As always,
Take care. ✨
It's the 1st of the month *cues Bone Thugs and Harmony* 🎶
Happy February!
Happy Black History Month!
Happy Love Month!
And to some of you,
Happy New Year! (because January had a lot of 2020-ish going on)
This week, I want to remind you that you can recreate yourself at any given moment. Seriously! You are not your past. You are not your mistakes. Let's stop identifying ourselves with our shortcomings. When we do that, we only limit ourselves from being our very best. It's time to take our power back! You are a NEW person, daily. Every day you wake up is a new chance to get it right.
I love you all, and I pray this week you learn to stop playing with your own potential. I pray that you don't settle for anything less than you deserve. Most importantly, I pray you tap into your powers and realize you are beautiful just the way God created you to be.

No, but forreal.. My life has truly changed ever since I chose to forgive my father.
In today’s episode, I wanted to speak on my relationship with my father. I receive so many compliments and positive remarks about me and my father’s relationship. But, it wasn’t always this sweet. Our relationship has definitely been tested and we have went through some things. What relationship doesn’t?
In today’s episode, I discuss:
There’s so much power In forgiveness y’all. I really want to challenge you all to forgive. Forgive your mother. Forgive your father. Like seriously— Let go. Holding grudges has so much power over you, and it really isn’t healthy. Let that hurt go, Sis!
This year, I want us only cultivating positive, healthy, successful relationships. We deserve it.
Let’s put in the work so we can have healthy relationships all 2021!!
I love you all.
Pray over your relationships.
Love on your people while they’re here.
Forgive.
As always,
Take care. ✨
