Poetry, activism, spirituality, identity and the reopening of a New York institution — the Nuyorican Poets Cafe. Jen and Cat sit down with Emmy-winning poet Caridad De La Luz, also knows as LA BRUJA. You don't want to miss this episode. It's pure magic.
This week on Rebellious, Jen and Cat sit down with award-winning psychotherapist and founder of WellGuide, Israa Nasir.
Together, they unpack what it means to stay human in a world that won’t stop moving — from performative vulnerability to cultural identity and shame to how awareness without action leads to despair. Oh, and Cat learns that she needs to have boundaries with her feelings. Cool.
We are so grateful to have artist, activist and all around incredible human, Rosie O'Donnell talking with us about everything from the current political climate to women's rights to being an artist today to Fresh Kills.
Jen and Cat went to a Rave. Yes, an actual rave. And it was freedom. Freedom from it all. Joy - surrounded by movement, misfits and magic gloves. And no, Jen couldn’t walk the next day but it was totally worth it.
But how do we override that? We have to first SEE the issue. You were never meant to have a spot to begin with and it’s not Glennon Doyle’s fault. Oh, Jen and Cat go off on this subject. Jen even sings “We Are The World!”
You’d think there’d be certain things as human beings that we all could agree on as baseline. One of them being health care. Meet Dr. Elisabeth Potter, who believes this so deeply that she put everything she owns on the line for it. She talks to Jen and Cat about how she’s holding insurance companies’ feet to the fire while fighting for her patients. There need to be more Dr. Potters in the world.
Thanks Neil. Jen and Cat discuss insane song lyrics, the male loneliness epidemic and how we’re taught to show up in the world.
Is it enough? The simple things? Jen and Cat say yes it is. They
discuss how deeply we are pulled to forget, go numb and buy into the
lack. Join us for a chat and a “happy ending.”
A conversation with Crystal Moselle and Derrick B. Harden, filmmakers who are taking their own advice. We sit down to discuss their movie, “The Black Sea,” breaking the rules in life and in independent cinema and not losing the joy or love of why you set out to make art in the first place.
And other positive affirmations from women who support women, Jen and Cat. Society profits off of women's insecurities, women take other women backwards and call it feminism, men sound dumb as dirt in the comment section, and Nancy is still telling us how we should feel. It's exhausting. But hey, the good news is, if you're rich you can always get a new face!

Art. Culture. Human.
with Jennifer Esposito and Cat Yezbak
We’re tackling the world’s biggest issues… with absolutely no plan to solve…
Each week, we dig into culture—how it shapes us, traps us, and tells us who we’re supposed to be—as artists and as humans, just trying to make it through.
We question everything, laugh a lot, offer unsolicited advice, and when it gets too heavy?
We dance it out.
No answers. Just honesty, rebellion, and a little joy in the chaos.
