- Red can be used strategically to draw attention to specific features in a room, such as windows or unique flooring, but should be avoided in spaces meant for relaxation due to its stimulating effects.  - Orange is an excellent choice for energizing spaces like home gyms or offices and can increase appetite, making it suitable for dining areas but not kitchens.  - When combining traditional and mid-century modern styles, using lighter color palettes and modern artwork can help bridge the gap without overhauling existing traditional furniture.
