The Cincinnati Reds fell to the Washington Nationals 10-8 on Monday night in a tough battle at Nationals Park. Starter Brady Singer struggled, allowing seven earned runs in just 2.1 innings, forcing the Reds to lean heavily on their bullpen to get through the game. Despite the early deficit, the Reds showed fight, clawing back from a 7-0 hole but never managing to take the lead. Cincinnati’s offense stayed active throughout, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the early damage. The Reds will look to bounce back on Tuesday as rookie Chase Burns takes the mound, hoping to even the series and set up a rubber match in Wednesday’s matinee.
