The Cincinnati Reds fell to the Chicago Cubs 6-1 on Wednesday afternoon at Wrigley Field, missing out on a chance to complete the sweep. The Reds' offense was largely silent, managing just four hits—two of which came in the ninth inning. All-Star Andrew Abbott battled through 6.2 innings, allowing four earned runs in a gritty but unspectacular outing. While the Reds can take pride in winning the series, Wednesday’s lackluster performance felt like a missed opportunity to build momentum. They’ll look to bounce back as they continue their road trip.
