We all know the phrase "I had to learn it the hard way." 

But what can we learn about ourselves from difficult circumstances and life lessons?

Reflecting on personal failures can reveal growth and serve as a stepping stone to greater success.

I've experienced that first hand and I imagine you have your own version of how hard won lessons, though painful, ultimately helped you to grow.

55-year young Dahlia Douglas-Ingram has reinvented herself over several years to emerge as an empowered mid-lifer who's inspiring others with her fitness journey on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.

But that's now how her midlife journey started.

Gripped by shifting hormones and a plethora of perimenopausal symptoms, she found herself both physically and mentally drained. She felt a loss of confidence and was unhappy with her body.

And then she decided it was time to make important changes. 

Those changes have helped transform her life in powerful ways.

And she didn't go it alone, she made healthy changes with a village of supporters - her Reinvention Dream Team.

70-year young Randye Kaye knows a lot about reinventing herself.

This actress, author, speaker and voice talent has reinvented herself many times in many creative ways.

She's honed her ability to pivot and uncover new possibilities, often out of necessity.

How has she done it?

She's used her curiosity to help steer her, leaning into those things that spark joy. Plus Randye is willing to ask questions and find people that can be reinvention catalysts - helping her along her path.

She's done it scared and done it anyway, each reinvention helping her grow in new, often unexpected ways.

What happens when a midlife woman embarks on a 12,000 mile solo RV journey across America during the pandemic?

A remarkable reinvention story that has changed her life and the lives of thousands of others.

When Michelle Fishburne found herself an empty nester without a house, a spouse and a job, she leaned into her strengths (curiosity, a sense of adventure, the willingness to "do it scared") to guide her path.

What unfolded was an adventure of a lifetime!

She tapped into her inner strength, wisdom and her ability to ask questions (including asking a publisher if her idea was book material). 

What resulted is her book, Who We Are Now:
Stories of What Americans Lost and Found during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

On her solo journey Michelle sat down with hundreds of people across the US to find out what people had learned about themselves and life during the pandemic. What she learned was touching and profound.
