In part two of our discussion of So I Married An Axe Murderer, we reveal who were the big winners amongst our recasting choices, as well as what movie we’ll be discussing next, discuss some great feedback received via Twitter and Facebook, and then talk about the tech and filmmaking aspects of the movie. This includes a question of where the remake would be set (hipster-laden Portland, perhaps?), wondering what exactly Charlie does for a living, a discussion of whether (and how) to change the tone of the movie to make it a bit more of a dark comedy, and finally, a discussion of the goods and bads of Mike Myers, both in this film and others in his career.

In Part One of our discussion of the 1980 horror classic The Shining, we reveal who we cast for the four major characters, as well as who we would choose to direct the remake. Along the way we contemplate the type of connection that both Dick and Danny have with the Overlook Hotel, how old Danny needs to be (and, along the way, whether Heelys would work for the steadicam shots around the hotel, fancy carpet be damned), express our surprise with how understated much of Shelley Duvall’s performance was, try to find the perfect balance of ‘madness’ and ‘crazy’ for Jack, and, finally, Kyle shamefully gets his Grady’s mixed up.
