Renewables Saved Billions in Health and Climate Impacts in 3 Years

Reduced emissions in the United States from 2019 to 2022 resulted in a quarter trillion dollars in savings in climate and health benefits. Vermont becomes the first US state to require big oil to pay for climate damages. There’s a downside to cleaning up air pollution: it turns out smog slows the heating of the ocean. As the planet warms, cities around the world have created a new job: Chief Heat Officer. Heat mitigation measures include opening cooling centres, and installing air conditioning in public housing.
