At the bottom of the 8 o'clock hour this morning, calling in to the show for his regularly scheduled weekly segment is Jim Bacon of Bacon's Rebellion and The Jefferson Council; John and Jim talk about his website's latest stories, which -- unsurprisingly, pertain to questionable practices at the University of Virginia.
Atop the 8 o'clock hour this Monday morning, John talks to another Hans -- Hans von Spakovsky! -- about voting irregularities, especially in the wake of the story out of Northern Virginia regarding thousands of misallocated votes in the 2020 Presidential Election.
Next up this morning is author and attorney Hans Bader, who joins John for a conversation about General Assembly Democrats' proposed "Second Look" bill, potentially offering release to long-term prisoners, regardless of the basis for their sentences.
To start with this week and Monday morning, John welcomes Midlothian Delegate Mark Earley Jr. to the show. John and Mark talk both about what has already transpired this General Assembly session and what is still to come.
Cue that glorious Jerry Goldsmith fanfare! Mike Mayo, of Mike-Mayo.com and a voting member of the Critics Choice Awards, talks to John about the winners of the Critics Choice Awards and predicts what impact the outcomes will have on the forthcoming Academy Awards.
On semi-short notice, Virginia GOP Chairman Rich Anderson joins John atop the 9 o'clock hour this Friday morning, to discuss the start of early primary voting in Virginia.
"It's Friday, Friday. . . ." For a conversation about what folks can do in and around Richmond this weekend, John welcomes Jason Roop of Springstory PR firm back to the show.
(Seriously -- we had poinsettias in the studio over the holidays??)
"Are you ready for some football?!" Former Virginia Governor and U.S. Senator George Allen is here this AM for his weekly segment, to pick NFL playoff games with John, Gary, and a struggling "Steeler Dan the Producer Man." (Tighten up, Dan!!!) Governor Allen and John also discuss the in-session Virginia General Assembly, and in particular legislative action related to the Democrats' desired EV mandate.
For the first time in 2024, post-Asia trip, John talks to CBS6 Crime Insider Jon Burkett about crime statistics so far this new year. John and Jon also discuss the just-released report about last year's shooting at Huguenot High's graduation.
Atop the 7 o'clock hour this Friday, John talks to entrepreneur/small businessman Matt Strickland, who discusses (and criticizes) State Senator Bryce Reeves' proposed, so-called "Sore Loser" bill -- which would bar post-primary write-in candidates from receiving votes in a general election.
