Back with John for the first time in 2024, ABC's Jordana Miller calls in to the show from Jerusalem, for her regularly scheduled, now-weekly segment about the war in Israel.
Though unmentioned heretofore on the RMN page, Reid has been on the road today -- at the Commonwealth Hotel, which is across from Virginia's General Assembly downtown and serves as a home away from home for many a legislator during Session. For the final half hour of today's show, John talks to the hotel's General Manager, Christina Norton, about her work and the hotel's history.
At the bottom of the 8 o'clock hour this Thursday, John once again welcomes local entrepreneur and citizen journalist Mike Dickinson to the show, for a conversation about the just-released/-publicized report regarding the Huguenot High School graduation shooting last year.
Joining John at 8:05AM this Thursday (instead of the usual 8:35AM slot) is former Virginia Governor and European Ambassador Jim Gilmore. Governor Gilmore and John talk about both the in-progress 2024 General Assembly Session and ongoing conflicts overseas.
Next up this morning is another member of the General Assembly: Senator Glen Sturtevant of Chesterfield. John and Glen talk about the first week of Session, how partisan everything has already gotten, and where the road leads from here.
Happy "Friday Eve"! To start with on this Thursday morning, John welcomes to the show his Delegate to Virginia's General Assembly, David Owen. John and Delegate Owen discuss the first week of his first term and what lies ahead for the rest of Session.
Joining John at the bottom of the 8 o'clock hour this morning is author and attorney Hans Bader, who -- like Joe Morrissey earlier this morning -- discusses the proposed changes to Virginia's "revenge porn" statute with John. (Hans wrote an essay about the topic, which you can find here.)
Joining John for the show's final half hour this Wednesday is actor Christopher Swan, who portrays Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks in the latest play version of Annie, which folks can see at the Altria Theater downtown through this weekend. (For more information, go here.)
Joining John atop the 8 o'clock hour this Wednesday is none other than renowned Fox News anchor Mike Emanuel! John and Mike -- friends from their days working as journalists in '90s Waco, Texas -- talk about the ramifications of the Iowa Caucus results and ponder what would constitute a winning strategy for Republicans in 2024.
Next on the slate for this "Hump Day" (er, no pun intended . . . ) is a conversation about proposed changes to Virginia's "revenge porn" statute. Joining John is former State Senator Joe Morrissey, who expresses his objections to the proposal, which he says would obliterate the purpose and justification of having such a statute in the first place.
