Following Bob Good's appearance on yesterday's show, John welcomes Congressman Good's primary opponent -- State Senator John McGuire -- to the show. In addition to responding to Congressman Good's criticisms, Senator McGuire fires back with criticism of his own.
For the latest installment of "Giving Tuesday," John talks to Emily Lowry of CARITAS about that organization's efforts in and around Richmond.

Atop the 9 o'clock hour this Tuesday morning, John talks to President Trump's 2020 Communications Director, the great Tim Murtaugh, about yesterday's results from Iowa's caucus -- and where the GOP road goes from here in 2024.
Calling back in to the show at the bottom of Tuesday's 8 o'clock hour is Virginia Congressman -- and Freedom Caucus Chair -- Bob Good. Congressman Good talks to John about ongoing budget wrangling on Capitol Hill and the effort, despite divided government, to rein in spending.
Atop the 8 o'clock hour, joining John is former Virginia Delegate Tim Anderson -- who's now running to be the RNC Committeeman in the Old Dominion. John talks to Tim about the status of Virginia politics and what needs to happen to salvage the Commonwealth.
To start with this Tuesday morning, John talks to Cleta Mitchell, a Senior Legal Fellow at the Conservative Partnership Institute who founded the Election Integrity Network. Cleta is following proposed legislation this General Assembly session that would expand hate crime designation to electioneers; she worries that this legislation is hasty, imprecise, and otherwise ill-conceived.
Finally on this Monday -- Martin Luther King Jr. Day -- John welcomes Brother Craig "The Hatchet Man" Johnson to the program; Brother Craig talks about MLK Jr. and shares the belief that the late Civil Rights Era leader would be appalled by today's Democrats, "accus[ing]" them of betraying King's vision.
At the bottom of the 8 o'clock hour this AM, Jim Bacon -- of Bacon's Rebellion and The Jefferson Council -- calls in to the show, to talk to John about rising tax rates in Virginia (now, Jim indicates, a high-tax state).
Next this Monday morning, John welcomes former State Senator Amanda Chase to the show; even though she's now on the sidelines, Amanda talks about some of the issues important to her this Session -- especially gun rights and medical freedom.
At the bottom of the 7 o'clock hour, John welcomes State Senator Chris Head to the show; Senator Head discusses Lobby Day today at the General Assembly, as well as bills that are especially important to him as Session gets underway.
