Dr. Nicky Ali Jackson works at Purdue University Northwest (PNW) where she serves as a Professor of Criminal Justice in the Department of Behavioral Sciences, and the Executive Director of the Center for Justice and Post-Exoneration Assistance. Romarilyn Ralston is a Black feminist, prison abolitionist and scholar working to interrupt criminalization at the intersections of race, gender, and education. Adnan Khan is the founder of Firstwatch Films, a video project first conceived and led entirely by incarcerated people inside San Quentin State Prison. Adnan Khan was also the executive director of Re:Store Justice, working with currently and formerly incarcerated people, survivors of crime, district attorneys, and the community to reimagine our justice system. While incarcerated, Adnan inspired, launched, and worked on the Felony/Murder rule legislation (Senate Bill 1437). The bill passed, and after serving 16 years, in January 2019, Adnan was the first person re-sentenced under the bill he helped create.

Dr. Tiffany Crutcher is the founder of the Terence Crutcher Foundation (TCF), focusing on criminal justice, police reform and policy advocacy. She was thrust into the national spotlight following the death of her twin brother Terence Crutcher, who was shot by a police officer in Tulsa while holding his hands in the air. Former NBA star Caron Butler was born and raised in Racine, Washington, where as a teenager, Caron had repeated run-ins with the law. The last time resulted in 14 months in juvie where he realized his basketball talent.
