RIPEcast by Space Cowboys

On this week's RIPEcast Space Cowboy's resident don of house music Brad Robinson is up with his set from New Year's Day.

"It was another incredible year at Breakfast of Champions that was full of sunshine and a lot of smiling faces. My hats off the leadership team for all of the event planning and execution. Thanks to everyone who came out to support the Space Cowboys and to shake your booties to my set. This year I have been working hard on track edits to try to bring a little more energy to my dance floors and this set has a handful of those included. I hope that you enjoy. As always, mad respect to the artist and producers that keep this music flowing for us. Every track is a gift." - Brad Robinson

An amazing day with so many smiling faces on the dance floor. I'm honored to play at the best party in San Francisco alongside so many DJs I respect. A big thank you to all of you who brought positive vibes and energy to the dance floor. I won't forget BoC24 anytime soon!

Ayyyyy! If you were at Breakfast of Champions x It's a New Day this year, I hope you had as much fun as I did! I book-ended the party, mixing video on the Mog at the beginning and DJing on the BoC Space Stage to close the party out. Huge thanks to the happy crowd out there at the end—you made my night and helped kick off 2024 with an incredibly positive boost.

Here's my set from the party! As usual, I put a lot into it—editing, layering samples and acapellas—and I was also inclined to detoured into DnB for a bit. Enjoy!

Hello Friends!

I invite you to settle in for this new 'Electrovember' mix— a synth soundtrack for a digital Thanksgiving. This set’s stuffed with blips, bleeps, acid, robots, and some surprises. Intended for listening while destroying a kitchen while cooking a big meal or coping with indigestion afterward. Spoon up an extra helpings of beats and raise a toast of gratitude with me! Here's to a holiday season with some electro flavor.

Enjoy!

This week, another poolside slammer from Fantastic Voyage's Giancarlo (@gots2be). Perfect sunny vibes to battle the SADs from summer being over. Crank it up and lay back! ☀️🎶

Here's what Giancarlo had to say about the mix:

"This mix was a special one for me. To be invited to play this event meant that I was able to reunite with some of my Fantastic Voyage crew and experience the magic of the weekend together. Our collective energy has been a focus on having fun. I tried to include music in this set that embodies that focus for me, as well as tunes that has influenced me in my recent production."

Happy Rocktober, Friends! To celebrate, here's 178 minutes of rock edits and remixes of tracks across the decades! Some are monster jams, some are guilty pleasures, some are deep cuts, and a few are all of the above.

Enjoy! - 8b

We're almost at Hoedown time! Before that, let's get y'all warmed up with some bassy pool-side vibes from none other than D2 (@d2thedj)!

Here's what D2 had to say about the mix: "Hip-hop has been such an important part of my life driving me to find the origin of its samples, (which alone expanded my library), sparking my desire to play drums and telling stories that didn’t necessarily relate to me but helped me develop strong compassion for others. I hope you enjoy the syncopated journey of drums and great MC’s that I crafted just for Unison. "

About D2:

D2 has toured the world as a drummer playing almost every style of music.

When the pandemic put a pause on her gigs, she decided to give the decks a spin and see if they would provide the musical fix her soul needed. They did.

She’s just getting started but excited to keep making booties shake for years to come.

Space Cowboys are happy to have Qdup back playing our Haunted Hoedown part Saturday Oct. 28 at Great Northern.

From the man himself "I put this mix together as I’m getting ready to come to SF and play Space Cowboy’s Haunted Hoedown at the end of the month. I just made a breaks remix of Six Shooter specifically for the Hoedown that seemed appropriate. I included it in this mix along with a bunch of breaks and house tunes that are really hitting the spot for me right now. In my experience nobody does Halloween like SF and I’m stoked to come rock with Space Cowboys and come Hoedown with you all!"
