RIPEcast by Space Cowboys

We got loads more mixes frmo the Four Elements Campout thrown by our friends Unison and 3 Degrees. This week is a Saturday night set from Denver Drake (@doubledz-1) and it slays so hard you're going to need to do some cooldown stretches. Enjoy!

Here's what Denver had to say about the mix: "This year's UNISON campout was so much fun! This set definitely has a lot of variety but also some of my favorite songs to dance to. Everyone at the campout brought their A game so hopefully I was able to step up!"

About Denver Drake:

Denver is Santa Cruz area DJ. He started DJing for family dance parties on an iPad and fell in love with all the crazy good electronic music that has been coming out for the last several years. He has done several weddings and school dances and loves to share music and show people a good time. New school house, bass house, tech house, g house, and occasionally breaks is on the menu for most of his favorite sets. He grew up listening to lots of hip hop and punk and tries to bring a level of fun and angst in every set.

We back with more recordings from the Four Elements Campout this past summer. This time it's a blazing set from @djskinnyfat on Friday night. Once he lit the match, the rest of the night was straight fire. Enjoy the mix!

Here's what he had to say about his set:

"I got to play a main stage, earylish set at Unison Campout this year. I tried to recreate a special wow moment from the year before when listening to Nurse Noise giving everyone (and me!!) bass face but in my own bouncy style. I think I hit that stride about mid set! You be the judge."

Had a blast playing on the Mog at Airpusher's 10th annual Steampunk Masquerade at Public Works. It was especially gratifying to move from boucey booty breaks into electro and then flip the tempo for some drum & bass before bringing it back down to breaks for the next DJ.

The is my 2+ hr warm up set—my actual set was much much MUCH shorter, but I captured this one to share bc more music is MOAR MUSIC! It also includes several of my original bootlegs and mashups, including the first track.

Enjoy!

This week we’ve got bangin set from St. Louis born & Los Angeles based DJ and producer, Joey G of the ‘Lots of Practice’’ label.

About this scorcher, Joey sez:

“I wanted to start this mix with a track that felt like just throwing yourself into something, like just taking the leap and building your wings on the way down...which is what I did when I made this mix and something I’ve been trying to practice more in my life. There are twists and turns, breaks in the plan, moments of clarity and chaos, but it all feels good in the end.”
