RIPEcast by Space Cowboys

❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 Happy Pride Weekend Frens! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

So this new mix is in large part thanks to DJ Maculate, who invited me to join the first ever Funklectic party in SF this weekend! The mix is my pre-party warmup mix—it's longer by far than what I played upstairs at Monarch, but also includes all the tracks I ended up playing. A lot of these tracks were Bandcamp Friday scores—if you like them, go look them up and add them to your own library!

This on the Space Cowboys RIPEcast, we’ve got an epic set of house grooves from one of our favorite regular guests, DJ Mes (Guesthouse Music). Take a min to hydrate and stretch, then get into this live set from The Rabbit Hole in NOLA (New Orleans).

Here’s more about Anthony James:
“Anthony James is a core member and resident DJ of StrategikSF since 2008 and also a core member/resident of the only nationwide breakbeat collective: FrakturedNation. The Space Cowboys RIPEcast has been something on his bucket list for over a decade, and his track selection for this coveted opportunity is top notch and sure to put those subs to work. Howdy RIPEcast fans! We’re taking a breather from all the epic Breakfast of Champions sets, and what better way than with a chilled out set from Space Cowboys’ very own DJ Deckard—the next in his series “My Definition of Chill”. Here’s some words from Deckard:

“This mix makes me happy for many reasons in ways difficult to put in words. Sharing songs that are personal to me and go back as far as my teen years alongside more current electronic tracks in a different context brings me great joy. I appreciate all the support for my chill mixes over the years. Thank you to Team Deckard for your pre-release feedback.”

“Upon listening to the recording of my set, I learned that I had skipped AN ENTIRE TRACK. Since all tracks are critical to a set, I had to re-record. Here is the best version of what I intended on that beautiful clear evening with you all. It’s a busload of the best breakbeats I found in 2022, plus 5 (!) original productions from years past.”
