If you feel you lack feminine energy, you might be conflating it with something else altogether. Recently, my client Amanda asked about how to bring more feminine energy into her love life. But we discovered that the issue isn’t really about femininity but how to let go of needing to be perfect.
Perfectionism can feel like a masculine energy even though it isn’t. So in this episode, I walk Amanda through this confusion and help her release her need for controlling everything in pursuit of perfection. If you can relate to being a perfectionist or have some part of you that you wish to change, you’ll want to give this one a listen.
11:38 - The relationship that plays a huge part in Amanda’s perfectionist tendencies
14:57 - Looking at the phrase “no one’s perfect” in a different light
17:32 - How the perfectionism part of Amanda actually helps her
19:42 - A shift you can make with any part of yourself you want to change
21:50 - Ways in which Amanda has already cultivated her feminine energy
23:58 - Why Amanda tries to control things and what she fears can happen if she doesn’t
27:24 - What Amanda can do when she feels her inner child’s fear and habits coming up
30:26 - A quick recap of the coaching call and highlights of a few key points
33:57 - Going over a couple of important things you might have noticed during the episode

I conducted a community survey last month, and one response really stood out to me. This person said they want to meet someone organically. However, they also appreciate the ability to pre-screen people online for compatible values and interests. While dating apps have their advantages, I don’t believe using them in this way guarantees you’ll reach your goal for a deep, romantic relationship.
Today, I want to dive into how to know if you’re compatible with someone. I cover three reasons why you don’t need dating profiles to figure out if someone’s a good fit for you. Then, I wrap up with three considerations to help you make informed decisions when dating someone new.
4:37 - The rabbit hole you can often fall into with dating apps
6:38 - How arbitrary decision-making on the apps can backfire
9:09 - The real issue with depending on dating app profiles
14:30 - Different ways discernment and judgment affect your approach to relationships
15:57 - Why compatibility and chemistry aren’t the same things
17:34 - One area where online dating can really trip you up
22:23 - A re-frame that can help you overcome your dating anxieties

It’s time for us to talk about the dark side of personal development. If you’re in the self-help industry as a coach or any kind of healer or helper, then this episode might make you feel a little uncomfortable, but I’ll remind you that this feeling can catalyze growth.
What I’m sharing reflects both my experience being on the receiving end of the dark side of personal development, as well as the ways I’ve fallen prey to the industry when it comes to making money and getting clients.
I’m being really transparent on my own growth in this way and how I want to show up for you, but I also want to warn you of the pitfalls so you can become a better consumer (or coach) of personal development as well.
6:42 - The inner child programming that the personal development industry plays into
9:11 - How toxic positivity shuts us down from healing through spiritual bypassing
14:32 - The critical piece missing when we talk about The Law of Attraction
17:20 - The toxic culture around gurus, and the false belief that there is one right way

Welcome to episode 267 of the Love Live Connection podcast. Today’s topic probably applies to most, if not everyone, who listens to this show. One thing that comes up in dating and relationships is the different levels of interest in personal development and growth. One person will often be more interested in this area than the other, and sometimes that can create real relationship conflict or some wrinkles that need to be ironed out.
Luckily they can be, so in this episode I talk you through my process of being married to someone who isn’t super into this stuff whereas I live and breathe it as a life coach. Yet, my husband and I still have a beautiful relationship and make it work, even with ups and downs. So perk your ears up as I get really personal!
6:42 - My history with personal development since childhood
9:03 - Deciding what personal growth will look like in the relationship
13:41 - Spiritual growth and my anxiety about its affect on my relationship
18:09 - First thing I had to do in my relationship with Stevie
22:45 - Leading by example instead of telling your partner what to do
25:56 - Understanding who runs the personal growth industry (and who it targets)
30:49 - Some of my and Stevie’s frameworks and boundaries
