Today I’m joined by Liam Murphy, who just finished 4th at indoor Nationals!
We had the chance to speak a few weeks back it was a very insightful conversation. Liam is one of the top milers in the NCAA at Villanova. He’s a four time All-American, Seven time Big East Champion, Nine time All-Big East performer and was named the men’s Co-Outstanding performer in the track events at the 2024 indoor Big East Championships. Also he holds 4 school records in the mile, 3k, 5k and the DMR. His personal bests include 3:53 in the mile, 7:42 in the 3k, and 13:21 in the 5k. As you can see he’s already set his name in the record books and is looking to continue to do so, as we head into outdoor season and the Olympic year. In this episode we discuss how he got into the Millrose Games Wanamaker mile, his big jump from 2022 to 2023 to now, why his decision to quit soccer and pursue running in high school was hard and more.
