The Christmas season is precious. We embrace giving and receiving gifts and, even if a few scrooge-like attitudes surface here and there, for most, the season just naturally inspires special giving and reaching out to others.

For some, life is very different this year—a loss or struggle, perhaps something unfair that can never be restored. So, we gather around them, to support and comfort and to remind them that when the Lord allows a door to close, He has already begun to open another.

This episode is a reminder. The Bible describes an appointment every born-again Believer has with Jesus Christ. A time described in 2 Corinthians 5:9-11 when each will appear before Him to receive His acknowledgement of the way we lived, specifics of both good or, not so good. It is true that sins can be completely forgiven by God when we repent—forgotten and removed as far as east is from west. Still, we are accountable before a holy God concerning choices, decisions, and motives associated with the way we live our lives on earth. All hearts are open before Him now and will be then.

Shirley reminds us in this and previous episodes that God is dealing with the Church, waiting for our individual and corporate repentance. We cannot look the other way to preserve the status quo and certainly we cannot be careless but rather attentive—we are accountable to the Lord today, and every day. These truths are important reminders for the born-again Believer.

Important to maintaining integrity in the way we live as Christians—our decisions, choices, and lifestyle—is recognizing that God places both prophet and elder in close proximity to each and every believer. To go woke or be drawn away from God's Word, you'll first have to get by two voices, the prophet and the elder. Some believe neither applies since they've been enlightened beyond all that but Shirley explains how extreme outcomes can result, using Jesus's words in Matthew 23:34: "I am sending you prophets and wise men." Grab your Bible and follow along for important insight on how to avoid being drawn away to something far beneath your birthright.

In this episode we look at the possible result of seeing our world and events as they unfold apart from the obvious biblical heads up and an end time application. "For this reason… God will send them strong delusion." (2 Thessalonians 2:11) To hear the voice of the Lord clearly—right now—is critical.

Two things: God is dealing with the Church, waiting for our repentance. But also keep your eyes on Israel, specifically the mountains of Israel. In both, we cannot look the other way, determined to preserve the status quo. Right now, it's especially important for the born-again believer and every Church leader who have God's Word to boldly stand.

The disciples were instructed to pray for the Kingdom to come and God's will to be done "on earth as it is in heaven." They were told, pray this way! The powerful place family has in God's heart and plan is recognizable in many ways—some of them especially significant considering the authority mandate given to parents described in Deuteronomy 11:19 and Proverbs 22:6.

It's why we've learned to pursue God and train our children to pursue Him, knowing that one of many rewards God has in mind is continual revelation and uncovering of the Kingdom, specifically available to parents and grandparents who serve Him in their generation. According to Deuteronomy 29, "the revealed things belong to you and to your children—forever!"
