This episode pays tribute to Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away on September 8, 2022. Her reign of 70 years and 214 days is the longest of any British monarch, the longest recorded of any female head of state in history, and the second-longest verified reign of any sovereign in history. She was unwavering and devoted in her love for Jesus Christ and her expectation to live with Him eternally. This testimony was further highlighted during the mourning period leading up to her funeral on September 19, 2022.

Pay attention to what you hear in prayer. To what the Lord speaks to you. The voice(s) you hear—pay attention to, heed, take in to integrate into your life, to apply to your life—matters. That's Luke 8:18.

SAID NO ONE: "I have complete confidence and feel no doubt or worry or dread or fear, am never anxious and never experience negative thoughts." Shirley explains what to do when we experience subtle thoughts of dread or anxiety and feel unprepared or unqualified for the very thing we not only want to do, but especially know is the Lord's plan for us. You can defeat those renegade thoughts that attempt to take you over in order to make you believe you SHOULD agree with that negative thought-life.

The September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States, commonly known as 9/11, were four coordinated suicide terrorist attacks carried out by the militant Islamic extremist network al-Qaeda against the U.S. resulting in the deaths of 2,996 people from around the world—from many nations and ethnicities. In this episode Shirley ties the memory of 9/11 to the life and passing last week of Queen Elizabeth II. The Queen's tradition breaking decision after the tragic attacks on American soil to play the national anthem of the United States in formal ceremonies set the stage for citizens of the UK to pay tribute to America and all those affected by the lives lost on that tragic day. Shirley reflects on her experience in London just days following the attacks.

"Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it." - Proverbs 22:6 (NIV)

We live in a culture of instant gratification, especially when it comes to raising children; too often parents seek to keep children happy through material possessions and a worldly focus. What is neglected is a spiritual connection to God and confidence is His power.

For parents, the question to ask yourself is: How are you indulging your children?

God spoke the world into existence. In fact, words are powerful in the spiritual realm. For believers, what we speak has a profound impact on outcomes. So often we are focused on becoming more intellectual, more rooted in the day-to-day of the world that we forget the very thing that makes us powerful—our words. Prayer goes a long way. It is our connection to God that we must strengthen every day. What are you speaking today?

When it comes to knowing specifics about obstacles, impossibility looms for the natural man.

In the Church we find men and women like the New Testament character Philip, who are inclined to reason whether God can do the thing He tells His people to do. In the book "Faith Beyond Reason" author A.W. Tozer describes Philip:

"Here in the New Testament was Philip the Calculator—Philip the Mathematician, Philip the Clerk. There was need for a miracle, and Philip set out to calculate the odds. Probably every Christian group has at least one person with a calculator. I have sat on boards for many years, and rarely is there a board without a Philip the Calculator among its members. When you suggest something, out comes the calculator to prove that it cannot be done...."

People like Philip — with a negative, questioning mindset — are dangerous for any Church.

As believers, we must live with the mind of the King — the faithful belief that God can do anything, even the impossible by human standards.

Our role is to choose to have His mind over anything else.
