The free agent defensive tackle market completely dried up. The Chicago Bears' only avenue for adding an interior pass rusher is through the NFL Draft, and he's not likely to use another high draft pick on a defensive tackle.

That means the onus falls on Gervon Dexter to step up into a much bigger role in 2024, and Ryan Poles will need to put extra focus on adding at defensive end to build out a quality defensive line for next season.
