Dr. William Sutherland is the University of Cambridge's Professor of Conservation Biology. Previously, he was the President of the British Ecological Society, has written over 10 books on conservation, and this year actually received the Commander of the British Empire for Services to Evidence-Based Conservation Award.  He has invested decades into trying to promote conservation interventions that have actually been demonstrated to work based on evidence rather than assumption.

We talked about everything from the dangers of investing tons of money in interventions with little evidence to back their efficacy, to the decision making process, to the tremendous resource that he and his international team have created with Conversation Evidence
