William Pullen is a psychotherapist and founder of Dynamic Running Therapy. This reimagines the traditional talk therapy model of a client sitting on a couch talking with a therapist to incorporate movement, nature, and the outdoors into the healing process. He is the author of "Run for Your Life (UK)/Running with Mindfulness (USA)" and has developed an app also called Dynamic Running Therapy that you can check out wherever you are in the world. He is a TEDx speaker who has worked with Adidas, Asics, and Novartis, along with being featured by Vogue, GQ, The Times, Huffington post, etc.
It is easy to think that everyone has everything together, especially coaching and therapy. But we are all humans just working through life to the best of our ability. William went through many difficult, dark times personally to become a psychotherapist. I really like this conversation because he is open and honest about the struggles and challenges that he is still working through.
You can check out a lot of helpful tips and resources for how to incorporate therapy into your own runs at his website here...
