A woman sat across from me and said it quietly." Men are disgusting." I didn't defend it. I let it land.

In this episode of Sacred Ground I'm going somewhere most men won't. Into the pain of what has been taken from women across lifetimes. Into the ancestral grief that lives in the body before memory begins. Into the mother wound underneath the behavior. Into what it means to be a man who witnesses all of it without looking away.

This isn't a defense. This isn't an attack. This is an honest reckoning. With what we take, what we wound, and what we owe.

For the women who have carried this. For the men who are ready to understand why. For anyone sitting in the wreckage of what happens when two wounded people try to love each other.

There's an ache underneath everything, the feeling that you're making it up as you go, that you missed something everyone else got, that you're waiting for someone to look you in the eye and say "you're ready." Modern men didn't get initiated. No elders, no ritual, no clear marking of when boyhood ended and manhood began. Just mixed messages, performance metrics, and the expectation that you'd figure it out alone. This week I talk about what we lost when we stopped initiating men, what that absence costs, and what self-initiation actually looks like when nobody handed you the map.
