In episode 26, I give a couple quick tips on how to really enjoy the holiday season. Be sure to set your boundaries! Only do what serves you and will bring you the most joy even if it isn’t well received. Know that others’ response to your boundaries and decisions are emotions for them to handle, not for you. When you find yourself getting caught up in the hustle, bustle, stress and chaos, do my little trick of 5-4-3-2-1 by using your senses to become more grounded in the exact moment you’re in, so that you can really enjoy the season.

In episode 24, we are talking about high vibrations and the law of attraction. Remembering that our thoughts create our behaviors which create our future, be very mindful and aware of what you’re thinking is going to create your destiny. You want to come FROM your dreams not go TO them. Hold onto this concept as you prepare for 2019 resolutions and beyond.

In episode 23, I share my take aways of weekend all about women embracing their energy, joy and God given talents. We seem to have reached a place that we so often forget how to receive. We decline help and compliments and want to do everything ourselves. Do we feel too vulnerable to receive the offer? We are completely attuned to others, also, and designed to also take care of others. Instead of having this be a fault and too overwhelming, it’s important that we receive this gift and manage our energy so that we always have a full cup from which to pour.

In episode 20, I interview the beautiful Amy Arner of My Sweaty Lovely Life. Amy is a New York native, having always lived in the area, following all of the rules of what was expected of her. She shares her story that will resonate with so many of us, and then describes the first time she leaned into the discomfort and headed toward her fears in her early adulthood as she left the country to be with her then boyfriend. Amy is now a successful nurse and pursuing a full time career in coaching. She is constantly navigating what lights her on fire and facing her fears to find her authentic happiness. She has learned that it’s up to no one else, but her.
My challenge for you is to really think about what you want your life to look like. Are you always thinking that it’ll be greener on the other side only to realize it’s not once you get there? What’s one thing you can do this week to take responsibility for your own happiness.

In episode 19, I talk with you about how we’ve really lost sight of the boundaries we all used to once hold and have gotten away from. Is this why we are so overwhelmed and stressed and full of anxiety? Is it because we’re going against the natural rhythm of the days and seasons. What happened to waking up with the birds to get stuff done and then to naturally start to slow down in the later afternoon followed by dinner with the family, wind down and early bed. Instead we are giving up family dinners, hustling into the wee hours and burning the candle at both ends. With the seasons, we are hustling and pushing through every single month. We are naturally supposed to have a cycle of growth (summer), harvest (fall), death (winter) and rebirth (spring). We aren’t allowing ourselves to shed what no longer serves us. We’re not taking the time to nourish our soil to prepare for winter so we can grow an even more fruitful garden in the spring and summer. Instead we are trying to grow all year long. Is it greed? Is it competition? Can we reclaim some of these boundaries for ourselves?
My challenge for you is to really take some inventory in how your functioning in a day, a week and a year. Are you resting on Sundays? Are you slowing down in the evenings no matter what is left on the to do list? Start to reclaim some of what you deserve and what will undoubtedly serve you better.

In episode 18, I broach a conversation that is vulnerable and perhaps a bit morbid, but it’s an important conversation. How do you want to be remembered when you die? What would you do today if it was your last? If our lives, why can’t we see the beautiful qualities and attributes that we will surely be behind. As we live, we perceive ourselves as never being enough, but aren’t we?
My challenge for you is to see yourself as others do and to live each day as if it was your last.

In episode 17, how have we become a society that romanticizes busyness so much?? Does busy = happy? In my experience it creates the opposite. Money made or not, when I live in the world of “hustle” and “busy” I find myself completely depleted physically, emotionally and mentally and unable to show up fully for anyone including myself. Why do we glorify this state?? Instead, I have found that if you create a schedule that aligns with how you want to feel, others may still view you as busy and project that onto you, but know that living the way you want to feel will only bring alignment, not busyness.
My challenge for you is to make a list of the things that make you feel good. Sitting in front of a fire? Going to the beach? Reading a book? Playing with your kids? Make that list and then go sit still and see what comes up. It’s hard for all of us, but this is where we will find the growth and the space to make the changes we need to make.
