As we enter into prayer on this Saturday, begin to slow right down.

Exhale deeply.

Then breathe softly for a moment or two.

Tune in to the sounds around you.

Become aware of your whole body from head to toe.

Become aware of God present with you.

Let every fibre of your being turn to God.

Ask God to shed light on this time.

Focus on aspects of God’s character from this week’s readings:

God’s own depth of heart.

God forgiving.

God urging us to live God’s way, to collaborate with Him.

God empowering.

Give thanks for the past week - home in on details: where was God present? Relish those moments.

Accept when your weaknesses have come to the fore. Lay them before the Lord knowing that. He understands.

Look forward to the coming week. Ask for what you need. You might ask simply to be His servant.

You have given all to me,

To you, Lord, I return it.

Everything is Yours, do with it what you will.

Give me only Your love and Your grace,

That is enough for me.
