This week we're joined by filmmaker Duncan Birmingham! He’s a writer, TV producer and filmmaker who helped create the IFC series Maron and was a writer on the Starz show Blunt Talk. His debut feature film Who Invited Them was just released on Shudder! We chat about his relationship to horror as a scaredy-cat kid and growing to appreciate the genre as an adult as well as his job working at Weekly World News and his debut feature film Who Invited Them! Then we dig into Brian De Palma's Dressed to Kill, a film that is absolutely stunning and incredibly hurtful to trans viewers. As three cis people, we do try to tackle the themes but we also wanted to include writings about the film that we referenced in the episode.

Aside from the trans narrative, we also dig into the stunning museum scene, the exquisitely staged chases, and how Duncan saw it way too young.
