How will the Cincinnati Reds be this year after making so many off-season moves? Listen here:

  • Ben Fred Friday – January 24, 2020
All NHL eyes are on St. Louis for the All-Star game this weekend. Ben Fred said everything is sold out, the Alumni Game was a smash hit and people were cramming into Stifel for information on Thursday. Ben tells us about how cool it is for the Tkachuk family to have two boys playing in it. Also, will Berube put all the Blue players on ice at once? There are St. Louisans playing from other teams too. What a Cinderella story for hockey in St. Louis. How do these successful events reverb to new opportunities for the city?

Marcell Ozuna is officially gone and Ben Fred Gives us his thoughts on his contract and replacement. We learn that Shildt wanted Ozuna back but the front-office was the cold front. So which young unproven outfielder takes his place? Does Carlson get a shot? Bader's comments from the Winter Warm Up suggest he was confident for the center field spot. Is his confidence rightful? The fans should be worried about the lineup, according to Dan. How do they fix the issues? Lots of baseball talk as we head to Spring Training soon.

Ben Fred fills us into the latest news on the MLS stadium. They are moving forward and the Governor has made some moves too. Listen here:

  • John Brebbia
St. Louis Cardinals pitcher, John Brebbia, joined me to tell his unique story of the rise to the majors. He has a special personality and brings a lot of laughs to the clubhouse. His hobbies include personal finance and the game of cricket. He also talks about the infamous beard and how, while it’s a fun thing, it has symbolic meaning for him too. What does he say he’d do for a living if it wasn’t baseball? Listen here:

He gives us the scoop on advances in analytics, scouting and hopefully selecting the right player to build a foundation for the Cardinals future.

  • Ben Fred Friday – January 17, 2020
We kick off our Friday, and every Friday, with the one and only Ben Frederickson of the St. Louis Post Dispatch. First things first- the stain that is the cheating scandal in MLB. Does Ben Fred think it was enough punishment? What will the rest of the fall-out be? Who is on the chopping block next and is Mike Fiers a hero or foe?

Missouri State has made the controversial choice to hire Bobby Petrino as former head football coach, Dave Steckel’s, replacement. Dan and Ben face off on whether this was a good or bad choice and why. In Ben’s opinion, Petrino starts fires and leaves everywhere worse than before.

Mizzou basketball lost a player this week in Mario McKinney Jr. But because he was already suspended, this move seems fairly insignificant. We talk about the big win over Florida and Martin’s strategy for the remainder.

We get an update on the LA Rams plagued stadium and where the lawsuits stand for wronged St. Louis fans.

More STL sports news and opinions too. Listen here:
