Are the lineup changes just cosmetic? According to Derrick Goold, yes. Jose Martinez batting in the 6 spot yesterday is the prime example of it. Today, the debate is why even change the batting order if it's just for looks? Derrick suggests thinking about the top 8 players and putting them out there at this point. The off-speed pitching, scouting reports and management of the game by the Nationals has been stellar.
