After our last episode, we hope by now you have a better grasp of superannuation– because today we want to talk about Self-Managed Superfunds. While superannuation in its most basic form is a trust, with its own preservation rules and tax environment, SMSFs are not any different with the exception of a few small intricacies.

The important takeaway from a Self Managed Superfund is that it is what the name suggests "Self Managed". While this can carry its own risks, costs and management burden, it also has its fair share of benefits when handled correctly.
