Episode 26: Justine began working at RiverWoods as part of the pre-opening team in June 1994. Her tenure at RiverWoods began as the Director of Accounting, with growth into the role of CFO in 1997, COO in 2005 and President/CEO in 2007. She became CEO of the RiverWoods Group in 2012. 

Justine is a certified public accountant in the state of New Jersey and formerly served as Trustee and Treasurer of the Board of Directors for Leading Age of Maine and New Hampshire. Justine has lectured at the University of New Hampshire and is a frequent speaker at local, regional, and national industry conferences on topics including strategic management, growth planning, culture development, and financial oversight.

Episode 25: Jo Ann Allen has extensive on-air experience as a radio journalist, having started her career at Wisconsin Public Radio in Madison. She spent 24 years at various news organizations in New York City including 18 years at WNYC/New York Public Radio. 

After New York, Jo Ann moved to San Diego for 5 years and worked mainly at KPBS Radio. From San Diego, she  moved to Philadelphia and spent 4 years at WHYY Radio. In addition, Jo Ann taught radio journalism for 7 years as an adjunct professor at Long Island University in Brooklyn, where she was on the committee that decides the recipients of the George Polk Awards for Investigative Journalism. She is currently an anchor, reporter, and mentor at Colorado Public Radio in Denver.

Episode 24: Carol Marak is a solo aging advisor and advocate. She is the founder of the Elder Orphan Facebook Group, which launched in 2016 and has almost 10,000 members. She also has a successful YouTube channel called Solo and Smart and a book titled SOLO AND SMART: The Roadmap for a Supportive and Secure Future.

Carol attributes her seven years of family caregiving as to how she learned to plan for the future. Between her and her two sisters, caring for their ailing parents took up almost all of their time. With no children to rely on as her parents did, and knowing the amount of care that they needed, she knew she had to plan for her future and figure out what to do.

Episode 22: Richard Peck is a certified financial planner, a chartered advisor in philanthropy, and a chartered financial consultant. Prior to the Charitable Foundation, Richard served Dartmouth Hitchcock Health, the Geisel School of Medicine, and Dartmouth College in their philanthropic work. He is a volunteer member of the marketing and development committee of the Grafton County Senior Citizens Council in Lebanon, NH. He also serves on the NH Race and Equity All Workgroup and the Civic Engagement subgroup in Concord, NH. And, he is a member of the board of directors of the International Association of Advisors in Philanthropy and serves on its webinar and marketing committees as well.

Episode 20: Dr. John Randolph is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist, brain health coach and consultant, and member of the Adjunct Faculty at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College. He earned his PhD in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis in Neuropsychology at Washington State University, and completed clinical and research fellowships in Neuropsychology and Neuroimaging at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. He's Past President of the New Hampshire Psychological Association, a National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN) Fellow, and recent Program Chair for a national conference focused on the science of brain health. He's also the author of the recently released general audience book, The Brain Health Club: Using the Power of Neuroscience to Improve Your Life. He works with individuals, groups, and organizations interested in developing better strategies to enhance brain health.

Episode 19: Ashton is a pioneer, speaker, writer, blogger, author, and internationally recognized expert on ageism. She began investigating ageism in her mid-50s, and what she discovered led her to write her book, This Chair Rocks – A Manifesto Against Ageism, as well as creating a number of other resources to combat ageism. She speaks widely at venues that have included the TED Mainstage and the United Nations, and is a leading spokesperson for a movement to mobilize against discrimination on the basis of age.
