It's been a while since I've had Matthew on the show, so today we sat down for a fun Q&A. For Christmas I gave him a Truth or Dare card game for couples. On today's episode, we forego the dares but we do ask each other some fun questions and don't worry, we keep it PG-13. Our goal with all of our Q&As is to encourage you and your significant other to get closer by being vulnerable and learning more about one another.
Memories are funny things that are greatly impacted by numerous factors. Our memories can play tricks on us, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it's good to be aware of when this is happening and to learn some strategies to be a better memory keeper.
Recently I was asked to speak to a high school leadership class and decided to speak on the topic of how to be a good conversationalist. This sent me into a deep dive learning about the topic, which I found to be fascinating. Most young people are not intentionally taught how to converse with other people. On today's episode, I offer 9 tips to be a better conversationalist. I'm certainly not the expert, but the more I learn about it, the more I want to know and the better I want to be. Further, I want to make it a mission to help young people get better at this important skill.
Over the past couple of years, I've learned what self-care truly means and I share that with you on today's episode. It's so much more than manis/pedis or a girls weekend. It's actually quite simple. I also give an update on my month of RELEASE. It's been a very enlightening experience.
A lot of us feel empty inside and think we can fill that void with more money, more stuff, more friends, a bigger house, a new hometown, different job, less wrinkles, nicer clothes, a fancy car, etc. But the truth is, we already have what's needed to fill the emptiness if we take the time to do the inner work. If we don't take the time, we'll keep feeling miserable. Similarly, we don't need to change for the outer world or for other people's expectations. Instead, we need to unapologetically be ourselves and then the world around us will change.

In today's episode, I offer three strategies to release those negative and limiting beliefs so that we can find our own unique paths to joy and abundance.

Today is the one-year anniversary of She Breathes, and I want to say THANK YOU for your support! I am looking forward to another great year of podcasting in 2024. Also on today's episode, I talk about some important Christmas lessons I've learned over the past several years. Merry Christmas!
In today's episode, I talk of a powerful way to change internal thinking patterns from a "should" mindset to a "could" mindset. I share an exercise that truly shifted my belief system. I end with the philosophy of offering ourselves small luxuries each day to heighten our sense of self, and the types of luxuries I'm talking about cost very little money if any at all.
