Jerakah's recently pivoted to work with women who have experienced trauma to use gratitude, self care and giving back as a means to create and step into a new version of themselves. After tragically losing one of her infant twins last year, she has been on her own journey and realized that trauma looks different for everyone but the principles are the same. At the heart of what she does, Jerakah reminds women why gratitude matters.

WOOO!! Today's episode is fire!!
I will ALWAYS be the friend to give you the hard truths that are sometimes brutal to hear, but necessary for growth! I know, sometimes it's a blow to the ego, but who really wants to be lied to just to feel better? That leaves very little room for growth if you ask me.
With that said, today, we discuss judgement- what it's like to be judged, but more importantly what it means when WE judge!
Listen in for some real talk. It's not always easy; but someone has to do it!
I'm more than happy to be the person you can depend on to be loyal and true (I'll always be that friend to let you know when you have something in your teeth or a boog in your nose) lol, because in my eyes, the world needs less fake and a lot more REAL!

Be a fly on the wall during my 1:1 Unstuck session with Michelle, a working mom who is trying her best to navigate motherhood and her health; specifically mental health.
She bravely shares the difficulty it has been for her to maintain a steady job and how the inconsistent income makes life as a single mom that much harder. Her daughter is her motivation and inspiration but when she's not home, it is difficult to be alone.
Michelle's story is empowering and real. As difficult as it is to have conversations like these, it humbles me to have someone like her come on to open up. She hopes to help other women feel like they are not alone.
An emotional episode that you truly feel in your heart and you can hear the conviction of strength that continues to carry her forward!

May 17, 2022 \\ WHY NOT MAKING YOURSELF A PRIORITY CAN LEAD TO COMPASSION FATIGUE- HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND OTHERS WITHOUT REACHING THE POINT OF BURN OUT!
What is compassion fatigue? Can you really experience burn out that's not related to a job?
We dive into what it's like to take care of everyone else to the point of hitting burn out and experiencing compassion fatigue. This is actually being evaluated to become a mental health diagnosis; a very real and exhausting condition to have to manage on top of every day life.
Some signs that you or someone else is experiencing compassion fatigue:
- Change in attitude or mood, loss of enjoyment, loss of desire/passion, lack of humor or being able to make light of situations, irritability, a desire for change, interrupted sleep, reduced empathy, disconnect, and a sense of wanting to get away from where you are-
So how do we recognize and let others know when we are experiencing burn out and compassion fatigue? Listen in as we discuss what to look for, how to navigate, and minimize the risk when our plate is full.
I share some ways to help recognize and re-evaluate your level as a provider/caretaker/etc. Sometimes having a visual representation can help put it into a different perspective and illustrate where some shifts can be made to help you out!
Remember, everything is progress and we just need to make sure we are applying our own O2 mask on before we assist others with theirs ;)
