Any Maritime angler will tell you that the Saint John River region is just great for smallmouth bass fishing. It seems word has finally travelled. Donald Paterson, the Maritime Representative for B1 Fishing, says the national championship is coming to New Brunswick, as well as the new B1 East Coast Series.

The city of Bathurst and surrounding Chaleur Region have three separate police forces. And according to some people, that's two too many. The idea of creating one regional police force has been considered several times in the past. But this time, Bathurst Mayor Paolo Fongemie says the climate appears ripe for change.
