A collection of Tom Forrestall's sketchbooks are on display at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery. Forrestall said he sketches every day, and brings a book with him wherever he goes. He visited the Shift studio with John Leroux, the Beaverbrook's Manager of Collections and Exhibitions. Leroux said the books are a 65-year collection of impressions from Forrestall's life.

The Boston Marathon is one of the best known racing events. This year, more than 40 people from New Brunswick participated, including Evan and Shelley Doucet of Quispamsis. Evan Doucet said he trained for the event for months, before the couple travelled there with their two children and family.
