Sarah Glinz fell in love with knitting in school. But it wasn't until five years ago, that she took the leap to raise her own sheep for wool. Now she's part of a collective called the Fundy Fibre Artisans. This weekend, they're inviting people to visit her farm near Sussex to learn more about wool.

On April 15, Fredericton's Onne de Boer will mark the seventy-third anniversary of the Royal Canadian Dragoons joining the Dutch resistance to liberate Leeuwarden, the capital of the province of Friesland.

De Boer was born in Friesland but his family moved to Canada years ago. He now works in Oromocto at Base Gagetown , where he recently found a plaque commemorating the liberation.

Tampa recently released their highly anticipated debut album, Belated Love. Lead singer Nicholas Leblanc and lead guitarist Mathieu Leblanc said the album came together as a mix of serious songwriting and happy sound.

The annual River Valley Regional science fair took place in Fredericton on April 11. It's part of a provincial competition that showcases projects by grade 6 to 12 students, with a chance to win a trip to the Canada Wide Science Fair in Ottawa later this year. Families in Kent County recently created videos to promote early literacy and encourage parents to sing, talk, play and read with their child every day. Project co-ordinator Francine Hebert says the videos are part of a Literacy Initiatives program with the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.

International students in Fredericton received calls from scammers posing as the Canada Revenue Agency. They demand money - and threaten the students with deportation or arrest. Student Maria Leiva said the calls are scary and the students don't always know how to tell they are the victim of fraud.
