We’ve likely all seen the word, “affirmations” being thrown around in the last few years. Maybe from your favourite influencer, or self-help guru, or shi**y website that appears on page 1 of Google.
Maybe it’s followed by phrases like, “”affirmations for self-love” or “affirmations for money” or “abundance”. But have you ever wondered, what are positive affirmations really all about?
Personally when I see someone saying, “I use positive affirmations every day to receive abundance”, I feel a deep sense of cringe as my mind begins to wander to something more interesting.
But as per usual with this podcast, when we see a lot of people trying something, we have to question why they bother at all and try it for ourselves!
This week, we’re answering all the questions - what are they? Why do people practise them? What is a typical positive affirmation?
Then, we’ll put all this mumbo jumbo to the test and affirm if actually they’re worth the hype.
Also discussed - what happens on game shows when you win a car but you can't drive, the meanest things we've said to ourselves in the last month and our game of the week - “Can you affirm the term, you wretched little worm?”
Liked this episode or have a suggestion for something we should bother doing? We’d love your review!
