Renoir au 20e siecle

Der Struwwelpeter, zuerst erschienen als “Lustige Geschichten und drollige Bilder mit 15 schön kolorierten Tafeln für Kinder von 3-6 Jahren”, wurde 1845 von Heinrich Hoffmann als ein Kinderbuch für seine eigene Familie geschrieben. Es wurde als eine illustrierte Sammlung von Kindergeschichten sehr bekannt durch seine erste englische Übersetzung im Jahre 1848. Das Buch wird oft als brutal angesehen, da die Kinder in den Geschichten nicht notwendigerweise gut behandelt werden. Trotzdem hatte es einen Einfluß auf spätere Literatur. She is fed up with the stuffy conventions that surround her and with the hyperactive talk of the men in her life. Hypatia is engaged to Bentley Summerhays, an intellectually bright but emotionally underdeveloped aristocrat. Misalliance by George Bernard Shaw (1856 - 1950)

Edgar Wallace, perhaps best known for creating King Kong, wrote dozens of novels. The Green Rust, his twelfth crime novel, is one of three books he published in 1919. It begins at the English home of the severely ill American millionaire, John Millinborn. With him are his best friend, Kitson, and a local doctor, the Dutch (or is he?) van Heerden. He is murdered in the first chapter, having just left his fortune to his niece, Oliva, whom he has never met. Before he dies, he asks Kitson to find and watch over Oliva. Green Rust (Version 2), The by Edgar Wallace (1875 - 1932)

Hardy claimed poetry as his first love, and published collections until his death in 1928. Although not as well received by his contemporaries as his novels, Hardy's poetry has been applauded considerably in recent years. Most of his poems deal with themes of disappointment in love and life, and mankind's long struggle against indifference to human suffering. (Summary from Wikipedia).

I am an indie podcast producer from Johannesburg, South Africa. I created this podcasting platform as somewhat of a legacy project. To borrow from David Viscott, the purpose of life is to find your gift. The meaning of life is to give it away. 

I am a storyteller. Radio is where I ply my trade. I love the beauty of the medium. The way it can move you, the way it carries your imagination. I have 16 years of experience in a radio news environment. I also have considerable experience in radio current affairs, including features making. Over the years I have profiled lawyers and judges, historical figures and ordinary people – all with a story to tell.  

I started this website to help make podcasting more accessible. I believe that South Africans are natural storytellers. I also believe that podcasting is the future of radio. I have three active christian podcasts, which all publish weekly. 

I run an art pod. With three more in the offing. The art pod is hosted by social artivist Wesley Pepper. He felt that artists didn’t have much of a voice even before the lockdown. Now more than 25 episodes in, and he credits the podcast as one of his most successful projects for 2020! 

At Spudcaster, we are building a storytelling platform. Our ultimate goal is to generate local content. To allow Africans to tell African stories. Let Spudcaster podcast your life! Be a part of the next BIG thing!

Noir Confidential draws upon the era of filmmaking known as Film Noir. Today, the genre is called Neo-Noir, but the same concepts, tropes, and techniques are used to reflect today's feelings of inevitability, cynicism and defeat. The pessimism, distrust, and greed displayed in classic Film Noir movies like "The Maltese Falcon" and "The Third Man" speak to a society racked by geopolitical conflict and economic disparity. All the elements that sparked the Film Noir heyday have returned to haunt society, and a new class of cynical anti-heroes and manipulative Femme Fatales have arrived to exorcise their demons by finding their elusive MacGuffin. Occasionally we will present a classic radio play from the 1940s and early 50s: some Dashiell Hammett (Sam Spade) and Raymond Chandler (Philip Marlowe), but to be completely upfront we are here to promote audiobooks in general and more specifically my own books like Deception, Delusion, Dilemma, Diversion, and Defection.Coming very soon is a special Noir Confidential Premiere Exclusive, CULT - The Podcast Movie. That's right podcast fans, we're bringing back Theatre of The Mind, radio plays for the podcast era. CULT is a movie script I wrote based on a short story published in my book Noir II.
