Kidnapped is the story of a 16-year old young man who is searching for his true birthright and is determined to make a fortune after the death of his parents.  This timeless tale by Robert Louis Stevenson follows the life of David Balfour who leaves his home in Scotland after the death of his parents. First he meets his uncle for the first time in his life. His uncle is a very mean person who, at first, tried to kill David by devious means but then got him kidnapped onto a slave ship. 

In the ship, David makes friends with a Scottish rebel and together they successfully defeat the ship’s crew. The rebel, Alan, cherishes a dream to overthrow the British rulers of Scotland. Soon after the shipwreck, the two escaped but were later charged for being accomplices in the murder of a British supporter by the name of Colin Campbell. 

Although the novel’s adventures get a kick-start by this kidnapping, it is true that the hero of the story spends very little time as a captive. The character of Alan is very important as without his friendship the story would have ended very quickly. David would have been forced into slavery or would have escaped and met a poor fate due to starvation and want of money. On the contrary, David enters into new adventures with Alan on the ship itself. But after being charged with the grave crime of murder, readers are forced to ask two pertinent questions – Will these two escape from the hands of the British soldiers? Will David ever confront his sly uncle and fight to get back his inheritance?  

This is a very exciting and adventure filled story and all readers, old or young, will like the way the novel slowly unfolds. The setting of the story is very beautiful and there are vivid descriptions of the woods, waterfalls and streams which they jump over.  The story is set in 1751 and the author has successfully narrated the story keeping in mind the history of the time. If you love adventure stories then you simply cannot ignore this fast-moving adventure which promises to keep the reader engrossed from start-to-finish.

The Red House Mystery is a novel by A. A. Milne about the mysterious death of Robert Ablett inside the house of his brother, Mark Ablett while there was a party taking place. It’s a whodunit novel with a simple story that's skilfully told.  
Milne is best known for his works about Winnie the Pooh, but before he became famous for telling stories about this teddy bear, he also garnered praise for “The Red House Mystery.” The novel was set during a house party in the mansion home of Mark Ablett known as the “red house.”  Mark had many guests in the party including a widow and his daughter, an actress and a young man named Bill. While the party was going on, Mark’s long-lost brother Robert arrived in the house and shortly after was found dead. Then suddenly the guests noticed that Mark had disappeared. Anthony Gillingham, a very interesting man who just went to the house to call on his friend Bill acted as the “investigator” to the crime. The two “detectives,” Antony and Bill went on to “investigate” the crime and find out who committed it. It will be up to the readers to categorize who among them is Watson and who is Holmes.   
Milne did an excellent work of telling the story in a very light and entertaining way. Readers will like this book not because of originality or a complicated plot that’s found in other mystery novels. They’ll enjoy reading it because of the interesting characters and the humour contained in the story. This is a good read for people who are looking for a mystery novel that’s a light hearted enjoyable book to read.

If you liked Clear Heart, I think you'll like this one too.  It's got great characters, it's down-to-earth, it's fun.  And better yet, this one's friendly to children.  Boone Barnaby is about three boys testing the limits of life in their scrappy little town.  It's about collecting garbage, climbing trees, catching a criminal, and talking to dragonflies.  

Boone Barnaby lives in a small town full of large characters:  San Puerco, California.  There's Boone's father, who loves Studebakers and doo-wop, and who has a habit of walking around the dark streets of town late at night carrying a can of gasoline.  There's Boone's friend Danny, who has nothing—sometimes not even a home—but who wants everything, even if he has to steal for it.  There's Boone's other friend Babcock, who finds trilobites and organizes a picket line and looks like a wet coconut.  There's Walt, the soccer coach, who drives a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.  And there's Boone himself, who has a few problems:  His soccer team is thrown out of the league.  The dogcatcher is after Boone's dog.  The town hoodlum is throwing rocks.  Boone's father is arrested for burning down houses. The adult world doesn't seem fair, but with the help of his friends—Danny and Babcock—Boone tries to make things right and maybe learn just who he is and what he stands for.

We craft story-sharing experiences in the form of both performances and workshops and classes. A typical show or event consists of several stories dispersed throughout the evening like courses of a meal. The stories range from the earnest and serious to the light-hearted and humorous, and can simultaneously provoke and entertain.

Our venues are as varied as our stories, and run the gamut from intimate wine bars and pubs to spacious performance halls, conference rooms, and open-office environments. Our storytellers are equally diverse, and come from all walks of life: a pastor, a bartender, a child psychiatrist, and a lawyer…their individual stories help to bridge the gap between the personal and the universal, and break down the walls between and unite artists and audiences in and among different communities.
