La dispute, ça soulage, mais quand on en arrive là, on sent bien qu'on ne gère plus rien. Comme c'est énervant, nous avions envie de comprendre. Justement, nous avons découvert un philosophe qui a réfléchi sur ce moment où on perd le contrôle et où tout part en vrille. Maxime Rovère a enseigné dans des grandes institutions comme l'École normale supérieure, et il travaille aujourd'hui à forger sa philosophie qu'il appelle éthique interactionnelle. Dans son livre, “Se vouloir du bien, se faire du mal”, il prend la dispute comme un objet de pensée. Mais pas n'importe quelle dispute, celles qui surgissent avec nos amis, dans notre couple ou en famille. Bref, les disputes avec les gens qu'on aime.Ce qui est fascinant, c'est qu'à travers ce sujet, Maxime Rovère percute complètement la représentation que nous nous faisons de nos relations, de notre égo et de notre liberté. Alors, pourquoi les conflits avec nos proches nous font tant souffrir ? Comment bouleverse-t-il notre conception de l'individu ? Pourquoi se déchire-t-on avec ceux qu’on aime ?

Anders Breivik, le terroriste d'extrême droite norvégien qui a assassiné 77 jeunes en 2011 reçoit 800 lettres d’amour par mois. Il existe un joli mot pour désigner cette passion pour les criminels : “hybristophilie”. Bien sûr, on pourrait considérer ce genre d’héroïsation des tueurs comme un trouble pathologique, mais on peut aussi le voir comme la manifestation extrême d’une fascination largement partagée pour le crime.  Cette attraction repose certes en grande partie sur nos pulsions voyeuristes, mais pour le philosophe Mathias Roux, les vraies affaires criminelles représentent plus que de simples faits divers. Dans “Le goût du crime” (Actes Sud, 2023), l’essai qu’il a coécrit avec son frère Emmanuel Roux, il montre que non seulement ces affaires donnent matière à penser notre époque, mais elles soulèvent de grandes questions philosophiques. Pourquoi les affaires criminelles nous fascinent-elles ? Que nous enseigne l’événement criminel sur la question de la vérité et du mal ? Quelle est la raison du crime ?

Quand on tombe malade, on sait désormais qu’il ne faut pas “automatiquement” prendre des antibiotiques. Plus on en prend souvent, plus les bactéries y deviennent résistantes et moins les traitements antibiotiques ultérieurs seront efficaces. Aujourd'hui les bactéries résistantes tuent plus de personnes dans le monde que le sida ou le paludisme.  Charlotte Brives est anthropologue au CNRS et dans son dernier livre, “Face à l’antibiorésistance, Une écologie politique des microbes” (Amsterdam, 2022), elle revient sur l’histoire des antibiotiques, sur leur usage massif, bien au-delà de la sphère de la médecine humaine et sur la manière dont ils ont profondément influencé notre économie et notre société. A travers son récit, c’est toute notre perception de la maladie et des microbes qui s’en trouve chamboulée.  Comment va-t-on pouvoir se soigner si les antibiotiques ne fonctionnent plus ? Doit-on chercher à éradiquer les maladies à tout prix ? Faut-il arrêter les antibiotiques ?

Le 16 septembre 2022, l’étudiante iranienne d’origine kurde Mahsa Jina Amini meurt en garde à vue après avoir été arrêtée par la police pour avoir mal porté son voile. Le jour même, le pays s’embrase. Au cours des manifestations, plusieurs femmes enlèvent leur voile et défilent en scandant notamment « Femme ! Vie ! Liberté ! », inspiré du slogan féministe kurde. Les manifestations gagnent l’ensemble du pays et donnent à voir une rare solidarité entre les différentes ethnies et entre les hommes et les femmes. Ce mouvement d’une ampleur inédite dans l’histoire du régime des Mollah pose une vieille question de philosophie politique : celle de la possibilité du soulèvement, de la désobéissance, et de la révolution. Chowra Makaremi est anthropologue, chercheuse au CNRS et spécialiste de la violence d’Etat. Dans son livre "Femme ! Vie ! Liberté !" (La Découverte, 2023), elle tient la chronique à distance de cette insurrection. Pour elle, même si les grosses manifestations ont fini par s’arrêter et que le gouvernement a tenu, on a bien eu affaire à un soulèvement de nature révolutionnaire, qui s’est attaqué frontalement à plusieurs piliers de la République islamique. Quand est-ce qu’un peuple cesse de croire en la voie électorale pour changer les choses?  Qu’est ce qui fait qu’un régime “tient” ou ne “tient” plus ? Samtidigt har brottsligheten minskat inom flera områden. – Fler poliser är inte en universallösning för att skapa ett säkrare och tryggare Sverige, säger Magnus Lindgren, generalsekreterare på stiftelsen Tryggare Sverige. Han lyfter också att antalet brott inom vissa områden faktiskt minskar. Så frågan är mycket mer komplex än att bara titta på antalet polisanmälda brott. – Det är väldigt mycket bröd och skådespel inom det här området. Där det är de här lättköpta lösningarna. Och ofta handlar det om fler poliser, hårdare tag och ny lagstiftning och gärna lite mer samverkan. Det här är förstås lättköpt ur ett politiskt perspektiv säger Magnus. – Problemet är ju att vi har att göra med svårlösta samhällsproblem som inte låter sig lösas med sådana här kvick fix. Utan det handlar många gånger om helt andra och mer komplicerade lösningar, säger i Magnus, som i Seniorpodden också ger sin syn på varför landets ordningsvakter är så viktiga, samt hur äldre kvinnor kan bidra till att bostadsområden upplevs som tryggare.

Avsnitt 52 – Hur kan Sverige bli ett tryggare land

Hälsoeffekterna av att spela golf visar bland att att golfspelare lever i genomsnitt fem år längre än jämförbara grupper som inte spelare golf. På Gymnastik- och idrottshögskolan, GIH, i Stockholm har man gått igenom befintlig forskning i ämnet. - Jag kan faktiskt inte komma på någon annan aktivitet som när man ska slå ut första slaget så har man mellan två och en halv till fyra timmars promenad framför sig, säger Elin Ekblom Bak, docent på GIH och ansvarig för studien. Att få gemene man att regelbundet ta så långa promenader är inte lika lätt. Under en golfrunda går man i snitt mellan 11 000 och 15 000 steg. Men att regelbundet spela golf två till tre gånger i veckan är inte bara en promenad. Vid de längre golfslagen aktiveras musklerna i hela kroppen, samtidigt som man tränar såväl balans som koncentration. - Det mest anmärkningsvärda är ju att de flesta golfare går ju inte ut för att motionera. Man går ju ut för att man tycker det är kul. Och det tror hon också är nyckeln till att få fler att motionera, oavsett om det sker på golfbanan eller någon annanstans. - Gör det du tycker är kul för det kommer du att fortsätta göra varje vecka, varje månad i resten av ditt liv. Det där gymkortet och löpbandet - nej! Det spelar ingen roll om det är lite mer intensivt, lite mer belastning på hjärtat eller lite mer hög energiomsättning, för det där kommer  inte vara bestående. Du måste hitta din grej, säger Elin Ekblom Bak.

Avsnitt 51 – Golfspelare lever längre

I Seniorpodden möter vi den här gången Håkan Jönsson, professor i socialt arbete vid Socialhögskolan på Lunds universitet. I ett samtal om ålderism får vi bland att höra hur 70 plötsligt blev den nya 90 och varför Sverige inte alls är mer ålderistiskt än andra länder. – Ålderism är en komplicerad fråga och egentligen den svåraste typen av diskriminering  och fördomar att attackera, eftersom samhället är så väldigt ordnat utifrån ålder, säger Håkan Jönsson som också betonar att ålderism finns i alla åldrar.

Avsnitt 50 – Så blev 70 det nya 90

Att sluta arbeta vid 65 har länge varit något av en regel när det är lämpligt att lämna arbetslivet. Under senare år, i takt med att pensionssystemet har förändrats, har allt fler 65-plussare fortsatt arbeta. Idag har de som vill fortsätta arbeta efter 65 också möjligheten att göra det. Och det gör man. Aldrig tidigare har så många i åldersgruppen 65 till 74 år fortsatt att arbeta. Under de senaste två åren har förmodligen inte vaccinationerna mot covid-19 fungerat om inte pensionerade sjuksköterskor och läkare fortsatt arbeta, eller hoppat in trots att man redan pensionerat sig. I det här avsnittet av Seniorpodden möter vi Mikael Stattin, sociolog och professor vid Umeå universitet, som studerat vilka faktorer som påverkar ett långt arbetsliv. Att fler äldre behövs i arbetslivet är också något som allt fler inser. – Att förlänga arbetslivet för fler, är den enskilda faktor som skulle kunna göra mest nytta i relation till den demografiska obalans som vi har, säger Mikael Stattin. Men för att nå dit krävs det stora förändringar i hur arbetsplatser organiseras, anser han. Så har till exempel synen på äldre i arbetslivet stor betydelse. Saker som uppskattning, att bli sedd och lyssnad till har visat sig vara avgörande för om man vill fortsätta arbeta efter 65. – Ska man optimera möjligheten för fler än väldigt priviligerade grupper då behöver man olika typer av åtgärder på individnivå, säger han. Ett nyckelord för att få till en sådan är förändring är att större flexibilitet när det gäller hur man organiserar arbetsplatserna.

Avsnitt 49 – 65-plussare blir allt viktigare

I det här avsnittet informerar Lotta Mauritzson, brottsförebyggare på Polismyndigheten, om vad man ska tänka på för att skydda sig mot bedrägerier. Antalet anmälda bedrägerier riktade mot äldre personer ökade under förra året, samtidigt som övriga bedrägerier minskade. Hur många försök som görs för att lura till sig pengar från äldre är det ingen som vet. Där är troligen mörkertalet stort eftersom den som inte låter sig luras oftast inte anmäler bedrägeriförsöket till polisen.  – Under förra året ökade anmälningarna med 24 procent, säger Lotta. Hon konstaterar också att bedrägerier riktade mot äldre ofta är kopplade till den organiserade brottsligheten och har kopplingar till andra länder. Att många av bedrägeriförsöken är riktade mot just äldre har man även kunnat fastslå vid husrannsakningar. - Vi har vid husrannsakningar hittat sådana utskrivna listor, berättar Lotta. Det har också varit lätt för bedragarna att hitta sina offer eftersom många uppgifter om till exempel ålder och adress bara är några datorklick bort. Efter påtryckningar från bland annat SPF Seniorerna har några av de större sajterna tagit bort en del uppgifter som gör det svårare att spåra upp just var de äldsta invånarna bor. Ett sätt att stoppa bedrägeriförsöken, när man till exempel blir uppringd, är att ringa tillbaka till den som ringt. Genom olika telefonbedrägerier kom bedragarna under förra året över 340 miljoner kronor. Genom att oftare motringa skulle den siffran kunna vara betydligt lägre. – Du ska alltid motringa. Får du den minsta oroskänsla i magen då ska du avsluta det samtalet och motringa, säger Lotta.

아쉬운 감정이 생기게 마련입니다.

The LMA Convention & WLAC is happening in Oklahoma June 12-15, 2024! The convention will be held in Oklahoma City at the Omni Oklahoma City Hotel, and the World Livestock Auctioneer Championship will be held at Oklahoma National Stockyards. As the trade group that represents the livestock market companies in the US- LMA advocates for the livestock marketing industry and provides a voice on state and federal legislative and regulatory issues. We represent over 80 percent of all viable, regular-selling (minimum 1 sale per week) livestock markets in the United States.



Chelsea Good is Vice President of LMA- and ahead of the start of meetings the next couple of days- she sat down with Oklahoma Farm Report’s Ron Hays to talk about some of the issues important to the group and their membership.

A talk by Robert Pape, Professor of Political Science at the University of Chicago. In their book "Cutting the Fuse", Robert A. Pape, James K. Feldman and the Chicago Project on Security and Terrorism examine every suicide terrorist attack worldwide from 1980 to 2009, nearly 2200 attacks in all. In this talk, Robert Pape presents their finding that contrary to popular and dangerously mistaken belief, religion alone motivates only a tiny minority of these attacks. Instead, the root cause is foreign military occupation, which triggers secular and religious people to carry out suicide attacks.

You shouldn't have to go back and buy an extra bit, separately, without being told, without which the bed will not function as a bed.
