  • I-70 Football Show: Getting rid of divisions and being more like the SEC
Welcome to a new episode of Land-Grant Holy Land’s I-70 podcast. On this show we talk all things Big Ten football and basketball. After every week of action, we will get you caught up on all the conference’s games and look ahead at the matchups, storylines, and players that you should be paying attention to in the next week. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host Dante Morgan.
Another week, another episode of the I-70 football show. In this weeks episode the guys open the show discussing playoff basketball as the Celtics blow out the Bucks and the Mavs were up big on the Suns. Dante discusses watching a new anime and we get into the future of streaming giants Netflix, Disney+ and HBO Max.
This is a pivotal summer for college football and the NCAA, the Big Ten included. With legislation set to pass that will get rid of the rule that determines conferences with more then 12 teams must play a round robin schedule or have divisions to host a conference championship game. Will the Big Ten capitalize on this rule and get rid of their uneven divisions? The guys answer this question and more with TV rights and playoff expansion on the horizon.
In their weekly pit stops, Jordan discusses James Harden being washed and not helping the 76ers in the playoffs. After taking two shots in the second half of a must win game seven should the 76ers regret the trade? Dante celebrates the NFL schedule release and highlights the NFL teams with the best announcements..

  • Buck Off Podcast: Corey Dennis deserves respect, big recruiting month ahead, and the end of divisions
On today’s episode of “Buck Off with Christopher Renne,” Chris and Jordan Williams discuss Ohio State’s recruiting of the quarterback and discuss the lack of respect for a certain position coach on the roster.
To start the show, the guys discuss the commitment of Dylan Raiola and what that means moving forward. This leads to a discussion about the offensive recruiting as well as the most natural succession plan for the quarterback position in the modern landscape of college football. After that, they discuss why it is time to start giving Corey Dennis more respect. The guys discuss the reasons they think Dennis has earned a greater level of respect and the fact he actually does more than most people think.
Once they get back from the quick break, the guys discuss the month of recruiting ahead. They talk about some positions with major question marks still and how they might get answered this month. They get into a conversation about what we can hope for in the defensive back recruiting from the new coaches on the staff and close out the conversation going back to look at why they should trust Larry Johnson.
The guys close out the show with a discussion about the removal of divisions in college football and give their final thoughts on an interesting mock draft from earlier in the week.

Also, we talk about NIL and how the NCAA is approaching a danger zone with what is happening in college sports. Is name, image, and likeness quickly dissolving into pay for play? What in the world is going on down at Miami?
And a quick review of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” at the end because why not? Pizza Poppa always gets paid.

  • I-70 Football Show: 2023 Mock Draft, Players to Watch (05/09/22)
Welcome to a new episode of Land-Grant Holy Land’s I-70 podcast. On this show we talk all things Big Ten football and basketball. After every week of action, we will get you caught up on all the conference’s games and look ahead at the matchups, storylines, and players that you should be paying attention to in the next week. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host Dante Morgan.
Happy Belated Mother's Day to all the moms out there, we hope your significant others and sons made you feel special. We start the show discussing buying mom a house when you make it and why we find it funny when players buy their dads a car. Plus will Primetime stay at Jackson State? and is he getting the credit he deserves for the recognition he's bringing to HBCUs?
Dane Bruegler of The Athletic released his way too early 2023 mock draft and it featured multiple Big Ten players. If a QB needy team has the first pick will C.J. Stroud be the first player off the board? Is Will Levis really an early first-round pick? If so what does that say for Penn State's handling of him? Should they have tabbed Levis over Sean Clifford? One surprise in the mock draft is Ohio State's senior defensive end Zach Harrision. His production hasn't matched his five-star status but at 6'6 260+ pounds he runs a sub 4.5 forty-yard dash and has the measurables for a first-round pick. Can he improve enough in his last season to get his name called on day one?
In their weekly pit stops, Dante discusses playoff basketball and why people have different standards for the Boston Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks. Jordan wants to know if Bryce Young can do enough to get drafted in the first round? He has the talent but at 6ft, 195 pounds he is shorter and weighs less than just about every current NFL starter.

  • Buck Off Podcast: Offensive Line Recruiting, Upcoming May Visits, and Ryan Day’s Program Taking Shape
On today’s episode of “Buck Off with Christopher Renne,” Chris and Jordan Williams discuss Ohio State’s huge offensive line recruiting wins by new offensive line coach Justin Frye.
To start the show, the guys get into the commitment of Austin Siereveld and what his commitment really means for the Buckeyes. Then they get into a discussion about what getting the Top-3 in state offensive line means, how this can translate into future recruiting success, and what is next for the offensive line recruiting.
After that, they discuss the incoming May visits from major recruits across the country. We discuss the potential impact of these recruiting weekends including what happens with big names like Brandon Inniss, Carnell Tate, and Tackett Curtis. We also discuss some other big names we’re hoping to see become Buckeyes.
Once they get back from the quick break, one of the guys takes their protective goggles off and takes on the role of full fledge recruiting expert. They discuss some situations and make predictions for potential Buckeye commits. After that, they go through the list of summer enrollees and discuss each players potential Fall impact.
They close out the show discussing if Ryan Day has actually overachieved in his tenure.

  • I-70 Football Show: Recapping NFL Draft for former Ohio State, Big Ten Players (05/02/22)
The 2022 NFL Draft has ended marking another year that the “Big Two” ran laps around the rest of college football. Forty-eight Big Ten players got their names called and a multitude of others signed undrafted free agent deals and accepted invites to mini camps.
The SEC continued to dominate with 65 total selections, including a record-breaking 15 from the National Champion Georgia Bulldogs. After the B1G’s 48, the next closest conference had 25 selections while “blue bloods” Clemson and Texas combined for two total players drafted.
Penn State lead the Big Ten with eight players drafted followed by Ohio State with six. Every team in the Big Ten had at least one player drafted aside from the Northwestern Wildcats. With the Nittany Lions leading the Big Ten in draft selections including a first-round pick and multiple second-round picks, Jordan wants to know if Penn State failed by only going 7-5 in 2021. Overall, the Big Ten had seven — eight if you include Jamison Williams — first-round picks. A showing the conference should be very proud of.
With their weekly pitstops, Dante highlights the USFL and their entertaining football games. Jordan agrees and hopes that it succeeds and becomes to the NFL what the G-League is to the NBA.
Jordan thinks the Colts SHOULD win the AFC South for the first time since 2014. They’ve had a solid off-season so far so here’s hoping it translates to the field.

  • Buck Off Podcast: Live NFL Draft Reactions, Projecting Ohio State transfer success, and C.J. Stroud going 1st overall
On today’s episode of “Buck Off with Christopher Renne,” Chris and Jordan Williams discuss Ohio State’s Spring Game, and the questions they still have.
To start the show, they discuss their experiences at the game watching the Buckeyes for the first time in 2022. They then talk about the size of the stadium and how much different seeing everything happening live feels.
After that, they get into what the Spring Game means for the Buckeyes as they head into next season. They also talk about Jim Knowle’s defense, starting with the defensive backfield and then talking about the depth in the secondary and on the defensive line. Then Chris and Jordan get into some discussion about the expectations for a linebacker group and pass rush that they don’t yet know a lot about.
They also discuss Ryan Day’s offense and the answers we got on Saturday. They break down the talent in the backfield and how much is also present in the quarterback room. They next get into the Buckeyes figuring out the tight end room, why the receiver transition might not be seamless, and then close out the offensive conversation with the biggest question mark on that side of the ball: the offensive line.
The Buckeyes have built a steady pipeline from Florida to Columbus, so the pair also gets into why that has recently resurged and talks about the recruits that the Buckeyes have landed recently.
They also discuss the current state of the recruiting class and how this cycle might end up looking geographically. Lastly, they discuss if some teams are getting a little too confident heading to the offseason.

  • Bucketheads: Team 124’s roster is starting to take shape thanks to transfer portal (04/28/22)
Land-Grant Holy Land’s newest podcast, ‘Bucketheads’ takes you on a journey across the college basketball landscape every episode. The only basketball-focused podcast in the LGHL family of podcasts, co-hosts Connor Lemons and Justin Golba give the latest scoop on the Ohio State Buckeyes as well as all the other happenings in the college hoops world.
This week we caught up on all of the happening of the Ohio State men’s basketball program — from the roster to coaching staff to future recruits. What will the lineup look like with several players who can “swing” between the 2, 3, and 4 positions, but few with experience at point guard? When will the coaching staff be finalized, and could we see a recent Buckeye hooper get added to the staff as part of the support staff?
We then drafted our “all-time” Ohio State teams, but only went back to 2000 because we’re naïve millennials who weren’t around to watch the likes of Jerry Lucas and so on. Did we leave anyone out? Did we include someone who shouldn’t be there?
