  • Play Like a Girl: A depleted College Football Playoff with no end in sight (01/11/21)
On LGHL’s Play Like a Girl podcast, Megan and Meredith talk everything from Ohio State sports to advocacy for women in sports and all the happenings in between.
Welcome back! Despite the college football season being officially behind us (we’re not crying…), there was no shortage of excitement from across the sports world for Megan and Meredith to get into this week.
First, the bad news: The College Football Playoff isn’t expanding anytime soon, because no one can seem to agree on anything — but specifically, who should get automatic bids to the field. Oh, and four NFL head coaches got the axe over the weekend, including, shockingly, Brian Flores, who led the Miami Dolphins to a 9-8 season. In even worse news, the rumor mill surrounding the coaching carousel says we might see Jim Harbaugh coaching Justin Fields in Chicago come next year. *sobs*
But there is good news, like the perfect end to the NFL regular season, and a solid College Football Hall of Fame class that includes one of our favorite Buckeyes from the 2002 National Championship team, Mike Doss.

  • LGHL Uncut: Ohio State's Liddell, Branham, Acting Head Coach Jake Diebler Recap Sunday's Win over Northwestern (01/10/22)
Throughout the season, Land-Grant Holy Land will be bringing you uncut audio primarily from Ohio State press conference, but also from individual interview sessions.
On this episode, you will hear press conferences from coaches and players following the Ohio State men's basketball team's 95-87 victory over the Northwestern Wildcats on Sunday night at the Value City Arena. First up, Buckeye players E.J. Liddell and Malaki Branham meet with the media. Liddell hit his career high in the game going for 34 points following a rough return following the team's extended hiatus. The team had previously confirmed that Liddell was one of the players dealing with a positive Covid diagnosis. For his part, the true freshman Branham continued his hot streak, putting up 24.
Then, you will hear from Northwestern head coach Chris Collins and acting OSU head man Jake Diebler. Both Ohio State's regular head coach Chris Holtmann and primary assistant Ryan Pedon missed Sunday night's game due to health and safety protocols. Holtmann confirmed on Monday that he anticipates returning for Thursday's contest against Wisconsin.

  • I-70 Football Show: Coaching Changes and NFL Rumors
Welcome to a new episode of Land-Grant Holy Land’s I-70 podcast. On this show we talk all things Big Ten football and basketball. After every week of action, we will get you caught up on all the conference’s games and look ahead at the matchups, storylines, and players that you should be paying attention to in the next week. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host Dante Morgan.
First things first we have a national championship game tonight! Unfortunately, it doesn't include any Big Ten teams but it's still important, so we take a detour and get into a game preview. After losing in dominate fashion what makes Georgia think they can fair better against the Alabama Crimson Tide? Is there any truth to the narrative that the Bulldogs didn't get up for the first game because they knew they would play them in the playoffs or is that just an excuse? Dante and Jordan give their thoughts on the game and pick winners
Back in Big Ten country the guys get into a debate over coaching success and if Ohio State should have fired their offensive line coach. Is it acceptable to not have a first round pick in six years? Who takes the blame? is the coach bad or are NFL teams just not good at drafting? In other news Jim Harbaugh is flirting with the NFL, Jordan expected it and Dante is surprised. Will Jim Harbaugh make the jump or is this just a ploy to get more money out of Michigan?
In their weekly pit stops Jordan laughs at Michigan fans who think Buckeye fans fear Harbaugh and are hoping he leaves, despite his 1-5 record in The Game. Dante makes the case for T.J. Watt as Defensive Player of the Year and maybe the best Watt brother.

  • Stick to Sports: Recapping the Football Season, Talking Trash About Harbaugh, Getting to Know You, and Elma (01/09/22)
Land-Grant Holy Land’s Stick to Sports is unlike any podcast you’ve heard on the Ohio State beat. Your hosts, Matt Tamanini and Jami Jurich, will (of course) talk Ohio State sports, but the primary focus of the show will be on what’s going on around the periphery, such as weird/funny happenings in college football and the sports world at large, as well as other things that keep us interested in between games, whether that’s pop culture, social media trends— you name it.
After a six-month hiatus, Land-Grant Holy Land's least sports-focused podcast is back and this time Matt Tamanini is welcoming in LGHL columnist and former editor-in-chief of "The Lantern" Jami Jurich as his co-host. The two theatre-geeks look back at the 2021 Ohio State football season, laugh and cry about the potential future of little Jimmy Harbaugh, ask each other a handful of inquisitive questions, and make some recommendations of things that you should check out.

  • Buck Off: Year in review, Harbaugh to the NFL, and coaching changes**
On today’s episode of “Buck Off with Christopher Renne,” I am joined, as always, by Jordan Williams for the first episode of Ohio State’s offseason.
We begin the show by talking about the biggest news surrounding the program starting with our final thoughts on the Rose Bowl matchup and what it means heading into next year. Then we discussed the coaches still on staff and Jordan gets into how Ryan Day can lose his faith.
After that we get into a discussion about the Jim Harbaugh rumors to the NFL. We talk about why the interest is real and why this time the smoke means a fire. Then we discuss some of our personal vendettas against that team up north.
After the break, we get into the year in review taking a look at the feelings and emotions we were going through after every match up. From the first game struggles against Minnesota, the importance of the Oregon loss, the coaching change, and all we say something about all the match ups through to the Rose bowl.
Our final discussion gets into our offseason scheduling, we’re very excited about all the shows to come. A lot of future Buckeyes are playing this weekend, so make sure you’re there next friday for our impressions on that game.

  • Bucketheads: Previewing Ohio State's Thursday game against Indiana, revising the B1G fraud list(01/06/22)
Land-Grant Holy Land’s newest podcast, ‘Bucketheads’ takes you on a journey across the college basketball landscape every episode. The only basketball-focused podcast in the LGHL family of podcasts, co-hosts Connor Lemons and Justin Golba give the latest scoop on the Ohio State Buckeyes as well as all the other happenings in the college hoops world. ‘Bucketheads’ will be released every Thursday morning throughout the regular season.
During Episode 22, our resident basketball writers preview No. 13 Ohio State’s upcoming matchups with Indiana and Northwestern this week as well as some final thoughts about their win over Nebraska. The guys also revisit the teams they previously called frauds and wonder aloud if perhaps the entire Big Ten conference is fraudulent.
Beyond the B1G, Justin gives a brief St. John’s update and agrees with Connor that the Red Storm is definitely bad. Before calling it a day, Connor tells us which two road venues (non-B1G) he’s visiting in the next few weeks as conferences dig in to league play.

  • Play Like a Girl: A tale of our blood pressure fluctuations during the Rose Bowl (01/04/22)
On LGHL’s Play Like a Girl podcast, Megan and Meredith talk everything from Ohio State sports to advocacy for women in sports and all the happenings in between.
Welcome back! Wow, it’s hard to believe that Ohio State’s football season is already over. It seems like just yesterday that the Buckeyes were kicking off against Minnesota on a Thursday night, but here we are, sweeping the confetti from a successful Rose Bowl game away as 2022 has already dawned.
And what a Rose Bowl it was! On the pod this week, Megan and Meredith talk how, with record-setting performances from Jaxon Smith-Njigba and CJ Stroud, the Buckeyes look like they won’t miss a beat heading into next fall — at least on the offensive side of things. The defense, meanwhile, left something to be desired.
Of course, the Buckeyes weren’t the only team in action this bowl season, and there was plenty of intrigue from the College Football Playoff games New Year’s Eve to the always exciting New Year’s Six.
