  • I-70 Football Show: Bowl Preview part two
Welcome to a new episode of Land-Grant Holy Land’s I-70 podcast. On this show we talk all things Big Ten football and basketball. After every week of action, we will get you caught up on all the conference’s games and look ahead at the matchups, storylines, and players that you should be paying attention to in the next week. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host Dante Morgan.
In this episode we discuss the holidays and how we spent time with our families. We also break down the continuing impact that Covid is having on sports. Bowl games are being cancelled, teams are being replaced, and the playoff committee has released new rules including a rule that could lead to a vacant national champion for the 2021 season.
Despite the impact of Covid, games are still being played and they must be previewed. With free wings on the table Dante and I pick the six remaining bowl games. Will Mel Tucker have the Spartans ready and showcase how he earned that $95 million dollar contract? Does Rutgers stand a chance against Wake Forest? How motivated is Ohio State in their matchup against Utah? Lastly, does Michigan have a chance against Georgia in the College Football Semi-Final game?
In their weekly pit stops Jordan celebrates another major Colts victory, this time over the Arizona Cardinals while down multiple key starters. Dante tallies the predictions for the Big Ten teams and discovers we both have the conference going 6-4 in bowl games.

  • Buck Off: Merry Christmas, giving out lumps of coal, and a 2022 season wish list for the Buckeyes
On today’s episode of “Buck Off with Christopher Renne,” I am joined, as always, by Jordan Williams to discuss Ohio State’s early signing period and the class the Buckeyes have put together so far.
We begin the show by talking about the successes in the 2022 class and we discuss the players we’re the most excited about joining the Buckeyes. We get into the coach recruiter rankings and reflect on the biggest misses in the class.
Moving forward, we get into a discussion about what we learned in our film studies for Jim Knowles. We discuss some of the position fits and the parts that make a Knowles defense special. We talk about the coverages and some of the wildest things we saw from Oklahoma State’s defense last year.
After that we get back into our recruiting discussion, and this time look at it from an NIL perspective. We tell you why NIL hasn’t changed recruiting, we discuss how it might change recruiting, and then we discuss why there should be no problems with money in college football.
Our final discussion gets into some of the smaller news and notes like Jim Knowles getting the lay of the land. We talk about a few players who are going to have big opportunities with the fresh start. Then we discuss our new Gator friend in transfer and former Buckeye quarterback Jack Miller.
Lastly, we close out the show with first thoughts of the Rose Bowl since the match up was announced.

  • Bucketheads: Buckeyes hope to return vs. New Orleans, review of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ (12/23/21)
Land-Grant Holy Land’s newest podcast, ‘Bucketheads’ takes you on a journey across the college basketball landscape every episode. The only basketball-focused podcast in the LGHL family of podcasts, co-hosts Connor Lemons and Justin Golba give the latest scoop on the Ohio State Buckeyes as well as all the other happenings in the college hoops world. ‘Bucketheads’ will be released every Thursday morning throughout the regular season.
We are now 11 days into Ohio State’s COVID-19-pause, but there is an end in sight (hopefully). After both the Kentucky and UT-Martin games were cancelled, Chris Holtmann said that he “expects to play on the 28th (against New Orleans). While that’s fine and good, we still have very little to talk about this week because of the shutdown.
So this week after discussing the timeline of OSU’s break and how we got here, the guys talked about Spiderman: No Way Home a bit — as they both went and saw it during opening weekend. If you haven’t seen the movie yet, it’s probably best you skip the final 20 minutes or so of this one. The plan is to resume your regularly scheduled programming next week.

  • Play Like a Girl: COVID’s continued impact on the sports world (12/21/21)
On LGHL’s Play Like a Girl podcast, Megan and Meredith talk everything from Ohio State sports to advocacy for women in sports and all the happenings in between.
Welcome back! Well, COVID has reared its ugly head once again, and its impact has been felt throughout the sports world with NFL, NBA, NHL and NCAA basketball games all being delayed or outright cancelled due to positive tests within organizations. Ohio State hoops was not immune, with the men’s games against Kentucky and UT Martin and the women’s matchup against UCLA being cancelled.
However, the postponements in the NFL in particular mean we’ve got pro football for days on end leading up to Christmas, and this week has already been a special gift with a thriller between Baltimore and Green Bay Sunday afternoon.
And of course, we’ve got more and more Bowl games, cool moments with Tiger Woods and (finally?) an end to the Urban Meyer drama in Jacksonville.

  • I-70 Football Show: Urban Meyers Demise and Bowl Preview pt. 1
In this episode we complain about corporate greed. Is Disney trying to make a power play for Hulu TV? This is literally the worst time possible to lose ESPN when most bowl games are on ESPN. We're not the only ones who received bad news as Urban Meyer got the boot in Jacksonville after a ridiculously short tenure. Sometimes being the head ball coach doesn't stop you from facing the consequences of your actions
The boys also get into the news about quarterback transfers and NIL ruining college football. We eventually get into the Big Ten as we preview the first four Big Ten bowl games, listen as we make our picks and decide on a friendly wager. Lastly we review the winner of our season long competition. While both of us did very well only one of us has to wear either a Clemson or Michigan T-Shirt.
In their weekly pit stops they both focus on the NFL as Dante celebrates the Steelers victory and staying in the playoff hunt while Jordan makes a case for Jonathon Taylor to win the MVP.

  • Buck Off: 2022 Class so far, Jim Knowles is nuts, and NIL destroying CFB
On today’s episode of “Buck Off with Christopher Renne,” I am joined, as always, by Jordan Williams to discuss Ohio State’s early signing period and the class the Buckeyes have put together so far.

Our final discussion gets into the B1G East vs. the B1G West in recruiting, and why the conference needs to do away with divisions. Then we finish with a discussion about how Ryan Day has used the portal well, and the importance of transfers in the modern CFB landscape.
Lastly, we close out the show with our final thoughts from the week and for the offseason.

Since the big Duke win for the Buckeye hoops team, they have rattled off four straight wins, including a ranked conference win over Wisconsin and a road conference win over Penn State. What has been the secret to their success? Connor and Justin discuss this and more on this week’s episode.
Also, their final major non-conference test awaits with Kentucky. Is Kentucky all that good, or have they just played a ridiculously easy schedule? The Bucketheads discuss that as well as what the Buckeyes need to do to end the calendar year on a high note.
Editor’s note: Following this recording, Ohio State’s game vs No. 21 Kentucky was cancelled due to two COVID-19 cases within the Ohio State basketball program. Please enjoy our now-irrelevant postulating about that game.
