  • Hangout in the Holy Land: Previewing the Fighting Greg Schianos (09/29/21)
The hosts are new, but the sarcasm hasn’t changed a bit. Join Gene Ross and Josh Dooley all year long as they break down everything going on in Buckeye Nation on Land-Grant Holy Land's flagship podcast.
The non-conference slate has ended, and the Buckeyes will now commence the rest of their Big Ten schedule after starting off 1-0 with their season-opening win over Minnesota. After an easy win against Akron, Ohio State will now face stiffer competition going up against Rutgers in Piscataway this Saturday. Formerly a B1G bottom dweller, Greg Schiano has quickly brought the Scarlet Knights back to relevance, and they will actually be a good test for an OSU team looking to prove they have righted the ship.

  • Play Like a Girl Podcast: Yes, we know we were playing Akron (09/28/21)
On LGHL’s Play Like a Girl podcast, Meredith Hein and Megan Husslein talk everything from Ohio State football to all the happenings in the sports world today.
Welcome back! In this week’s edition of the Play Like a Girl podcast, Megan and Meredith celebrate Ohio State’s week four win over Akron — even if it was still Akron. Of course, things get more challenging heading into next week, with a return to conference play against a surprising Rutgers team (and one which came *this* close to beating Michigan last weekend).
Things were not so rosy for all things Ohio State, however. The Buckeyes’ headlines have been overshadowed to a degree by the bizarre story of K’Vaughan Pope. Oh, and Justin Fields received a literal beatdown Sunday, getting sacked nine times by the Cleveland Browns in his first start with the Chicago Bears.
Off the football field, Meredith and Megan talk their favorite commercial of the weekend — a spot featuring WNBA great Candace Parker — and their least favorite study, which detailed just how white and male the sports media world still is.

And they preview the upcoming game against Rutgers on the road with Greg Patuto from the On the Banks blog.

  • I-70 Football Show: Are Michigan & Penn State legit? Who knows but Wisconsin is very bad
Welcome to a new episode of Land-Grant Holy Land’s I-70 podcast. On this show we talk all things Big Ten football and basketball. After every week of action, we will get you caught up on all the conference’s games and look ahead at the matchups, storylines, and players that you should be paying attention to in the next week. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host Dante Morgan.
If we would have told you that four games into the season Michigan, Michigan State, Maryland and Penn State would all be 4-0 you wouldn't believe me. Add to that, Wisconsin being 1-2 & Indiana being 2-2 and you would think I was inebriated. Well that's exactly where we stand 1/3 of the way through the Big Ten season. No one expected this, and if you did congrats you should play the lottery you would be a rich man or woman.
In this episode Dante and I try to figure out who is actually good in the Big Ten. We talk about Minnesota getting upset, Wisconsin losing their identity and Ohio State finding some conference against Akron. Is Michigan actually a good team? How legit is Penn State? What did OSU gain from beating up on Akron? We're not sure but what we do know is next week we're going to learn a lot more about the Big Ten
In their weekly pit stops Jordan celebrates Clemson losing and Oklahoma not looking great. The media got it wrong about which team of the three was in the worst position. Dante talks about Bowling Green upsetting Minnesota and they make plans to watch Kent State vs. Bowling Green at Kent's homecoming next weekend.

  • Hangout in the Holy Land: Recapping Saturday's 59-7 Win Over Akron (09/26/21)
The hosts are new, but the sarcasm hasn’t changed a bit. Join Gene Ross and Josh Dooley all year long as they break down everything going on in Buckeye Nation on Land-Grant Holy Land's flagship podcast.
On today's episode, LGHL's Matt Tamanini joins Josh Dooley as Gene Ross was out for the week. They discuss the Buckeyes' bounce-back game against Tulsa, and whether or not you can actually learn anything from blow out wins against inferior opponents. The pair also get into the difficult situation of K'Vaughan Pope seemingly quitting mid-game.
Over all, Matt and Josh liked what they saw against the Zips, even though they realize that they are a really bad team, and hope that the aggression and joy that the team played with on Saturday carries forward into the Big Ten gauntlet.

  • Instant Recap Podcast: Ohio State blows out Akron and young players shine again
The Ohio State Buckeyes absolutely destroyed the Akron Zips 59-7 in Kyle McCord’s debut as the quarterback for Ohio State and that leads the show.
Jordan Williams and Christopher Renne provide an instant recap show to break down the reasons why Ohio State won and what to expect for the Buckeyes moving forward.
They get into a discussion about K’Vaughan Pope’s sideline outburst and try to contextualize that moment. Jordan and Chris discuss why fans should not go too hard on him in spite of everything that occurred.
The offensive side of the ball played a complete game from start to finish on the back of Henderson, McCord, and the receivers. McCord set a true freshman record, but is that enough for him to challenge Stroud’s starter status.
Defensively, they played with effort and executed extremely well after the firsts series, we discuss what changed. Then we get into some of the players who shined and if this will translate for the Buckeyes moving forward.
Lastly, we get into our final thoughts from the game and give our final takeaways. It was only Akron, but the Buckeyes played awesome.
The next game for Ohio State will be October 2nd against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
Ohio State will look to show that this game was not a fluke against an upset minded Rutgers team.

  • In Conversation: Colton Denning on Coaching, Quarterback Struggles and the Otherworldly Talent of TreVeyon Henderson (09/25/21)
On Land-Grant Holy Land In Conversation, we talk to people in and around Ohio State athletics, and the sporting world at large, to bring you a different insight and perspective to the teams, athletes, and university that you love.
PUBLISHER'S NOTE: THIS INTERVIEW WAS RECORDED BEFORE RYAN DAY ANNOUNCED THAT C.J. STROUD WOULD NOT PLAY AGAINST AKRON.
On today’s episode, I am in conversation with one of my favorite people to have on this podcast, LGHL legend, Colton Denning. The man who has cornered the market on calling out Ohio State coaching before anyone else on the beat wakes up to the issues is taking no joy in the failures of Ryan Day and Kerry Coombs' performances this year. However, he is not giving up on the season, especially with the emergence of TreVeyon Henderson at running back... even though it will likely cost both him and Matt a lot of money this year.
Colton also discusses all of the blogging, podcasting, and video game simulation previews that he's doing this college football season.

  • Buck Off: New QB starting, Akron expectations, and all our hottest takes
On today’s episode of “Buck Off with Christopher Renne,” I am joined as always by Jordan Williams who get into the huge announcement Ryan Day made on Thursday. Ohio State will have a new starting quarterback for their game against Akron and the guys discuss.
The episode original episode was recorded Wednesday, so you can see the rest of our conversation from earlier in the week regarding the quarterbacks as well, but the remainder of the show is basically bullying Akron,
Moving forward, we get into a discussion about what Ohio State needs to do against Akron to get back on the right track and it all starts with executing better on both sides of the football. We continue that discussion with what the defense can do to keep improving as the weeks go on and what the last thing before conference play that we want to see from them is.
Lastly, we discuss Akron and how Ohio State greatly outmatched the Zips. What challenges can they provide? That question does not have a great answer because Ohio State should walk out on the field and sleep walk to a win. We closeout the show by discussing what Ohio State has to gain from this game and how excited we are for it.
Lastly, we make our score predictions and we discuss a lot for you guys to listen to leading up to that huge night game.

  • Bucketheads Podcast: Full schedule breakdown, Seth Towns’ back, and the rise of Brice Sensabaugh (09/23/21)
Land-Grant Holy Land’s newest podcast, ‘Bucketheads’ takes you on a journey across the college basketball landscape every episode. The only basketball-focused podcast in the LGHL family of podcasts, co-hosts Connor Lemons and Justin Golba give the latest scoop on the Ohio State Buckeyes as well as all the other happenings in the college hoops world. During the offseason the Bucketheads will release an episode once every two weeks, with the structure shifting to weekly as we get closer to college basketball season.
During Episode 8 of Bucketheads, Connor and Justin run through Ohio State’s newly-released basketball schedule and point out the stretch they feel will be the toughest.
They then give a recruiting update, including the latest news on four-star forwards Brice Sensabaugh and Dillon Mitchell, the current recruiting class all getting together for the first time at the Oregon game, and Ohio State losing its grip on the No. 1 ranked class for 2022 (damn you, Kentucky).
They then close it out with the news of Seth Towns back injury, and what that likely means for his 2021-2022 season.

  • The Dotted Line: Updates on Jayden Davis, Christian Miller, Caden Curry & All the Stupid Noon Games (09/22/21)
On “The Dotted Line”, Land-Grant Holy Land’s Matt Tamanini talks to recruiting experts, LGHL’s recruiting analysts, and prospects themselves to get a unique perspective on the players that will be a part of Ohio State’s future.
On today’s episode, Matt welcomes back the man behind one of the most popular Twitter accounts in all of Buckeye Nation, @BuckeyesCrootin’s Shane Bailey. The pair talks about updates on the No. 1 player in the 2024 recruiting class, South Carolina quarterback Jayden Davis and how the chess pieces might move around in the years before he signs a national letter of intent.
They also talk about the weird lack of BOOMs on the defensive line and whether or not Christian Miller, Caden Curry, or Hero Kanu could change that trend. Then, at the end of the show, Shane goes off on how much he hates noon games, and how they impact recruiting; from the lack of juice to making it difficult for recruits to travel to Columbus.
