  • Hangout in the Holy Land: Changes Coming on Quarterback? Previewing Akron (09/22/21)
The hosts are new, but the sarcasm hasn’t changed a bit. Join Gene Ross and Josh Dooley all year long as they break down everything going on in Buckeye Nation on Land-Grant Holy Land's flagship podcast.
With a big date against the Akron Zips looming on Saturday night, Gene and Josh discuss the fact that Ohio State's biggest opponent this weekend is themselves. They also discuss about how much, if at all, C.J. Stroud should play this weekend given the fact that he and the coaches are openly talking about his shoulder injury, and they need to have backups prepared to play if an emergency arrives.
Also, Ryan Day said the right things in his press conference on Tuesday, but the Holy Land boys think that whether or not the coaching staff can come together around a single defensive game plan will determine whether or not they are able to make the needed adjustments to turn the season around.
They also preview the 0-3 Akron Zips who aren't very good, but have a roster full of really great names.

  • Play Like a Girl Podcast: A Much More Uplifting Episode Following a Win Over Tulsa (09/21/21)
On LGHL’s Play Like a Girl podcast, Meredith Hein and Megan Husslein talk everything from Ohio State football to all the happenings in the sports world today.
Welcome back! In this week’s much happier edition of the Play Like a Girl podcast, Megan and Meredith talk Ohio State’s week three win over Tulsa, including the emergence of TreVeyon Henderson, continued challenges from the defense and if there really is any quarterback controversy in Columbus.
And because Ohio State isn’t the only program in college football, Meredith and Megan talk other hot topics...like if Alabama is actually vulnerable (lol).
On a much more serious note, the pair talked more on the testimony of Simone Biles, McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman and others, who spoke last week in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee on the FBI and USA Gymnastics’ handling of former team doctor, Larry Nassar. We cannot thank these brave women enough for speaking up for justice.

  • I-70 Football Show: Penn State defeats Auburn & Michigan State upsets Miami
Welcome to a new episode of Land-Grant Holy Land’s I-70 podcast. On this show we talk all things Big Ten football and basketball. After every week of action, we will get you caught up on all the conference’s games and look ahead at the matchups, storylines, and players that you should be paying attention to in the next week. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host Dante Morgan.
In this episode of the I-70 football show we welcome back Dante and get into what was a very good weekend of football! After Penn State defeats Auburn we have to ask, how good is Penn State? Dante and Jordan discuss Michigan State’s major upset of Miami and Michigan continuing to dominate teams.
We have major issues with the current AP top 25 as all 6 Big Ten teams who are ranked are ranked wrong and there's room for at least one maybe two more teams to be ranked. This next weeks slate of games is not much watch tv as its only marquee game is Wisconsin vs. Notre Dame which might be a bad football game.
In a combined Pit Stop Dante and Jordan talk about how no one is good right now. There are no teams, players, or coaches you have faith in. Outside of running backs there is not much to be happy with.... except pure chaos in college football!

  • Hangout in the Holy Land: Recapping Saturday's 41-20 Win Over Tulsa (09/19/21)
The hosts are new, but the sarcasm hasn’t changed a bit. Join Gene Ross and Josh Dooley all year long as they break down everything going on in Buckeye Nation on Land-Grant Holy Land's flagship podcast.
Ohio State defeated Tulsa 41-20 on Saturday, but if you look at the Twitter feed of your closest Buckeye fan friend, you would likely think they lost by 30. Ryan Day’s squad wasn’t exactly stellar this past weekend by any means, as the defense continued to struggle and the offense sputtered outside of TreVeyon Henderson. Gene and Josh break down exactly went wrong for Ohio State on the both sides of the ball and what some of their biggest concerns are with this team through three games.

  • Instant Recap Podcast: Ohio State beats Tulsa and they have some positives to build on
The Ohio State Buckeyes are back on the winning side of things as they beat the Tulsa Golden Hurricane 41-20.
Jordan Williams and Christopher Renne provide an instant recap show to break down the reasons why Ohio State won and should be optimistic moving forward.
They get into a discussion on what the new defense looked like and how the young guys showed up and won the game for Ohio State. The game wasn’t always pretty, but the guys are confident that the foundation for improvement was laid and they give you their reasons why.
The offensive side of the ball didn’t look great, but Treyveon Henderson was the player of the game. Chris has some stern words for Stroud and the visible regression since week on and Jordan adds to that.
Lastly, they give their final thoughts going into next week and what the Buckeyes need to do moving forward.
The next game for Ohio State will be September 25th against the Akron Zips.
Ohio State will look to put it all together against a 1-2 Akron Zips team who ranks with the worst in the country.

  • Buck Off: Staff reshuffling, Tulsa preview, and the need for massive improvements
On today’s episode of “Buck Off with Christopher Renne,” I am joined as always by Jordan Williams. We get into a discussion about Ohio State’s current staff issues and what we expect to see moving forward from the Buckeyes.
Ryan Day did not mince words in his presser and we discuss what the expectations need to be moving forward, possible changes in scheme, and what the coaches need to do better. When it comes to staff reshuffling as we pepper it throughout the show, we get into how the roles will move and why there are so many on field coaches.
Moving forward, we get into a discussion about what Ohio State needs to do against Tulsa to get back on the right track and it all starts with effort on both sides of the ball. Finding an identity will be a major key for both sides of the ball, and we will get to see how this team responds to adversity for the first time under Ryan Day.
Then we talk about Tulsa and what type of challenges they will bring to Ohio State that Ohio State can really find noticeable improvements against. Jordan tells us what he needs to see to gain his trust back in the Buckeyes and I tell you guys what we need to see.
Lastly, we make our score predictions and we discuss a lot for you guys to listen to leading up to this 3:30 PM barn burner.

  • In Conversation: Talking TBDBITL’s return to The Shoe with flugelhorn player Parker Stephens (09/16/21)
On Land-Grant Holy Land In Conversation, we talk to people in and around Ohio State athletics, and the sporting world at large, to bring you a different insight and perspective to the teams, athletes, and university that you love.
On today’s episode, I am in conversation with sixth-year flugelhorn player in the Ohio State Marching Band, Parker Stephens. After a year away from football games and the pomp and circumstance of Ohio Stadium, The Best Damn Band in the Land finally returned to the field last Saturday; and while the results on the field left much to be desired, the thrills and emotions of the band’s return were unmatched.
Like the athletes, Stephens was granted a sixth year of eligibility following the COVID-impacted 2020 season. Having recently graduated, Stephens took the band up on the offer and came back from one more year. As a former squad leader of C Row, Stephens knows and loves the marching band as well as anyone and explains what made Saturday so special for him, and what makes the band so special to Ohio State.

  • Hangout in the Holy Land: Changes Coming on Defense? Previewing Tulsa (09/15/21)
The hosts are new, but the sarcasm hasn’t changed a bit. Join Gene Ross and Josh Dooley all year long as they break down everything going on in Buckeye Nation on Land-Grant Holy Land's flagship podcast.
As interesting as it would be to break down Tulsa’s roster from top to bottom, Gene and Josh instead spent most of this week’s preview breaking down what they’d like to see from Ohio State. In his press conference this week, Ryan Day said the defense is looking to make structural changes, and we are waiting to see exactly what that means. The guys discuss some of the issues they would like to see corrected on both sides of the ball, and who/what they are looking out for during Saturday’s tilt against the Golden Hurricanes.

  • Play Like a Girl podcast: Post-loss therapy session (09/14/21)
On LGHL’s Play Like a Girl podcast, Meredith Hein and Megan Husslein talk everything from Ohio State football to all the happenings in the sports world today.
Welcome back! In this week’s very sad edition of the Play Like a Girl podcast, Megan and Meredith talk Ohio State’s week two loss to Oregon, including quashing the hate on redshirt freshman quarterback C.J. Stroud, and questioning where Kerry Coombs and the defense stand now.
However, as depressing as the loss may have been, the Buckeyes are not out of the picture just yet. The Big Ten is still wide open — but the conference might present a tougher road than we’d initially thought.
The pair also talk Buckeyes across the NFL, including a spectacular loss from Urban Meyer and the Jacksonville Jaguars, and a much more positive start from Justin Fields.
