Chef Toki Sawada and her husband and business partner chef Craig Takehara own Binchoyaki Izakaya Dining, which features Japanese comfort food. Chef Toki is one of a small number of successful women in Sacramento’s popular farm-to-fork restaurant scene and was one of the all-female chefs in the 2019 Tower Bridge Dinner. She has 20 years of experience in the food and service industries, has studied at le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena, and has worked as a Sous Chef and Pastry Chef in many kitchens throughout California. Toki is a mom to three young boys and is a part of women in agriculture.
