Just because they're made of metal doesn't mean they don't have a mind of their own. This week we cover some of our good and bad rogue robots. Lindsay revisits an iconic Cold War gentle giant in The Iron Giant, Mollie embraces the classically complicated sci-fi 80's movie War Games, and we both are straight up blown away by basically everything about Ex-Machina. To beware or to befriend? That is the rogue robot question.

This week, we dive deep into our most niche genre yet. Lindsay argues for a more fair assessment of the recent Hank Williams biopic, Mollie celebrates Loretta Lynn through one of her favorite movies, and we both are sadly underwhelmed by the Johnny Cash biopic we remember rather fondly. Yeehaw!

Spoiler Alert! This week we're covering some of our favorite surprise ending movies. Lindsay reflects on the cult classic Fight Club (starring Brad Pitt's abs), Mollie reminds us all how great M. Night Shyamalan can be, and we both once again can't stop talking about how much we love Jack Nicholson (and Leo) in The Departed. Surprise!

It's our quarter-century birthday and what better way to celebrate than with scary movies in a foreign language! Lindsay embraces the beauty and gore of the French film Raw, Mollie appreciates the twist on zombie horror in the South Korean flick Train to Busan, and we both still can't believe the ending to the Austrian masterpiece Goodnight Mommy. Sweet nightmares!

Sketches so good they need a movie. This week we cover popular SNL converts. Lindsay is delightfully exposed to the World of Wayne (shwing!), Mollie is decidedly not a fan of MacGyver's asshole cousin, and we both embrace the nostalgia and weirdness of Superstar. 

On this special episode, we share our Oscar predictions for ALL the categories. We also talk a bit about the Academy itself and give it lots of eye rolls. 

What says Happy Valentine's Day more than manufactured impossible romance? Exactly! This week we celebrate our love for the cinematic stepchild Romantic Comedies. Lindsay cannot explain to you why she likes Head Over Heels, Mollie legit has no guilt about loving Never Been Kissed, and we both are love Amy Adams too much for our own good. 

The whole romanticizing of creepers has to stop, people! This week we're talking the lovable stalker trope. Lindsay breaks down the tragedy of a bad Sandra Bullock movie, Mollie talks about the multiple creeps in American Beauty, and we both are just straight up annoyed by the "legendary" Lloyd Dobler in Say Anything.

They love to hate each other, and we love to watch. Lindsay talks about the endlessly complicated relationship between Professor X and Magneto, Mollie gets deep with Maverick and Iceman (what a name!) and we both fangirl a bunch about the many frenemies in Mean Girls.

Sometimes actors decide to take their talent behind the camera and it's a gamble. Sometimes the results are great, which is the case for Robert Redford's Oscar-winning Ordinary People and Drew Barrymore's spin on a coming of age story with Whip It. And sometimes...there's Dennis Hopper's Easy Rider.
