  • TML206: When To Make Changes In Your Work And Why with Kingsley Grant
At what point in your life would you consider making changes in your work? This is one of the questions that so many people know they need to entertain, but for one reason or another, they shift away from doing so.
Why is it so hard for some people who know they need to make a change at work, in certain relationships, in clothing and other areas of their lives, to do so?
My quickest guest is that they are not ready or willing to pay the immediate price tag. It will cost them something that in their minds is not worth it especially right now.
I find that with me, I go through several “takes” on trying to figure out when should I make a change and do I really have to.
This is where I’m at with my podcast – The Midlife Launch.
It’s been over 2 years now that I have been cranking away at it. I’ve done many interviews and solo shows. I have also gone through name changes for the show.
In all of this, I have noticed a very slow growth. One of the reasons I would attribute to that is probably some people do not relate to the word Midlife.
I remember speaking to someone from the UK who said they do not use that word. They are used to hearing middle age instead. Sometimes we take something like this for granted.
Anyway, having struggled with the show gaining traction and the numbers fluctuating greatly, I knew it was time to do something about it.
In this episode, I share what my behind-the-scene conversation I had with myself about this matter. You will also hear the conclusion I came to and why.
All this and more you are going to hear as you listen to this episode.

  • TML205: Fear Of Rejection Keeps You Stuck And What To Do About It | Maura Sweeney
Fear of rejection is one of the most common ailments of our time when it comes to doing something outside our familiar setting. Some would call this familiar setting your comfort zone.
Have you ever felt stuck because of fear of rejection? What has that fear done to you or cost you?
I know it has had great impact on my life. Because of the fear of rejection, I didn’t ask girls out on a date when everything within me wanted to. Because of fear of rejection, I didn’t ask for a raise when I knew I deserved one. I could go on and on with that and I’m sure you have stories of your own.
In this episode, our guest Maura Sweeney, shares how this fear of rejection can have debilitating impact on your life. It keeps you stuck in ways as I described above and as she states, from being your best self.
You will hear her address that as one of the many topics she covered. Other topics she covered are:
    i) Finding your inner peace and satisfaction
ii) Changing location as a means of pursuing life’s dream
iii) Selling a lucrative business to do what she and her husband were most passionate about
iv) How you can soft launch your side business idea and test it out
    v) Finding a way to incorporate your dream of childhood into your adult life
    vi) … and much more
All this and more you are going to hear as you listen to this episode.

  • TML204: From Corporate Marketing To Porn Free Radio with Matt Dobschuetz
Being porn free is a huge struggle for a large number of men and I would say for some women as well. The statistics lean towards more men struggling in this area, than it is for women.
The porn industry remains one of the most lucrative of its kind simply because the demand is so great.
Pornography is an equal opportunity employer. It doesn’t discriminate. So many people have had their lives wrecked because of the lure and entrapment of pornography.
Because of its widespread appeal, it has almost become an accepted part of our society and culture. In some countries it is not unusual to find porn being a part of the regular programming lineup during peak hours.
Therefore when the term porn free is introduced as a viable option, it is yawned upon in some places. Why?
Its almost the mentality of “if you can’t beat it then join it.” There is a defeatist mentality.
The good news is there are some people who are trying to make a difference and helping people who want to be porn free.
One of those individuals who is a recovered porn addict, is doing all he can to offer help. His name is Matt Doboschuetz. He is the guest in this episode.
Matt shares about him being found out by his wife – she caught him watching porn. This as he said, was one of the worst days and season of his life. He shared how he has found forgiveness from his wife and God and now is doing everything in his power to help others.
He feels this is his mission and many people are resonating with his message. He shares his message on his weekly podcast by that name – Porn Free Radio.
Matt also discuss other topics as well such as how he was fired from his corporate job and what that meant. He talks about trying to figure out what’s next and how he felt he needed to start his own business.
With a severance package, supportive wife, recently gained confidence, a laptop and internet and an idea, he began his journey. That is what you’ll hear in this episode.
All this and more you are going to hear as you listen to this episode.

Matt hosts a weekly recovery podcast called “Pornfree Radio.” It serves motivated guys who want to quit looking at porn. It frequently ranks in the top 100 of iTunes in Self Help with over 20,000 downloads a month.
In 2015, Matt was let go from his corporate marketing job of 10 years and pivoted to a new career as an entrepreneur. He now coaches men and helps other coaches market their message. Matt lives just outside of Chicago with his wife, Janice and two boys.

  • TML203: Paid Off My Mortgage In 3 Years You Can Too with Alex Barker
Many people that I know desire to say these words: I paid off my mortgage. I know that I too long to say those words and will be saying them soon.
Getting to that point is not easy. It does require discipline, commitment and setting goals. It also requires delayed gratification. This is not something that many are willing to do.
However, there has to be some changes made if the goal is to reach this major goal.
In this episode, our guest – Alex Barker – shares how he was able to accomplish this major feat in just 3 years. He also shared about creating a side-business to supplement his income and why that was so important.

  • TML202: Never Too Late To Create An Exit Strategy with Ellory Wells
So many people get stuck in life because of this one phrase that paralyzes them: it’s too late. I’m so glad that I found out early enough that is was not too late to create an exit strategy from my 9-5 to doing what I truly love to do.
Imagine living with that thought nagging you night and day. Whenever some thing crosses your path that makes your heart leaps because it fascinates you, immediately the joy is short-lived because of the thought of it being too late.
If I had to live my life that way, I probably would go crazy.
But here’s the thing: I used to live my life that way up until recent years. I sometimes wish I had come to this realization earlier. However, I know nothing happens before it’s time and maybe I wasn’t ready to embrace that thought.
One of the things I wished I knew after having the epiphany that it wasn’t too late to create an exit strategy is what our guest – Ellory Wells, shares in this episode.
It’s one thing to now know it isn’t too late, but having a strategy to follow through is very important. I didn’t have a clear strategy, and I had to fumble my way from the very get go. Thanks to the help of coaches, mentors and books, I was able to get going over time. I’m still at it.
In this episode you’ll hear Ellory talk about how his new book – The Exit Strategy – outlines practical ways to navigate your way from where you are to where you want to be.
This book is like a manual; a guide. Ellory outlines eight strategy or steps that will take you to your destination.
Make sure you have a pen and paper in hand to take some notes. Also, get yourself a copy of his book here.
Ellory also shared some case studies of people who have used his strategies successfully. He also shared ideas of how and where you could start.
