What do you call a movie with all your favourite cartoon characters being killed? The Transformers: The Movie from 1986. It’s time for Refresh My memory: The Podcast to hear Vicky Van, Jason Dedrick and Eric Fell’s recollections. Does the film have the touch? Does it have the power? Or is it less than meets the eye?
In honour of Leonard Nimoy’s voice role as Galvatron, the gang enjoys his famous Potatoes La Jolla Chez Jay with a surprise hint of banana.
They also enjoy an Optimus Prime Punch by pouring blue sports drink over cranberry cocktail and then topping it with lemon-lime soda.
They also create a tribute drink called the Seizure Warning. Here’s how to make it:
The producer’s wife said it was like mouthwash and soda, and she felt sorry for the miners who had to dig for the wasted gold.
If you make a Seizure Warning or, better yet, make up one of your own, please send a picture to [email protected] by following this link! Even if you don’t, we’d still love to hear from you. Also let us know what you think of the show and if you have any suggestions for future films.

Books Dave doesn’t know! (Not a single one!)
Hello, movie maniacs!
McQuarrying has been postponed again because David and Mary went to the theatres to see a couple of good old fashioned action flicks.
They watched Dan Trachtenberg’s further extrapolations of the world of Predator with Predator: Badlands and Edgar Wright’s re-imagining of the “classic” 80’s Arnold Schwarzenegger vehicle The Running Man.
In Part Two of their conversation, Dave and Mary defend the unfairly maligned The Running Man with Edgar Wright’s fun, streamlined direction and great performances by Glen Powell, Colman Domingo, Michael Cera, and Josh Brolin. And any film with Katy O’Brien in it ranks high in our books!
Thanks for listening.

Hello, horse fans and hello, mystery fans, and hello, horse mystery fans! Welcome to Season Six of your favourite horse-based true crime podcast!
On the final regular season episode of Horse Mysteries things get really grim with rodeos and the murder of young girls.
It’s a story of cruelty, depravity, ill-equipped law enforcement, the limits of justice and a world that wasn’t kind to children.
We hope you enjoyed this season of Horse Mysteries. Thanks to everyone who contributed comments and emailed the show.
And big thanks to our musical maestro Chris Roberts for his fabulous theme music!
Thanks for listening.

Hello, cinema sickos!
Guess what? No McQuarrying this week because Mary and Dave wanted to go to the movies!
On this episode they discuss Lynne Ramsey’s alienated woman psychodrama Die My Love with Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson, as well as Guillermo Del Toro’s grand, gothic guiltfest Frankenstein with Oscar Isaac, Jacob Ilordi and Mia Goth.
Two absolute emotional barnburners in two days! What did Dave and Mary think? Well, let them fansplain it for you!
