Sounders Pow Wow

Oh what a yawner in Houston. Enough to convince some people that it may not be all sunshine and rainbows come next week when Real Salt Lake come to Seattle.

And a LONG discussion during the Ask The Pow Wow, multiple questions and lengthy responses.

Another game under the belt and a return to form (2009 form) for the Sounders. What a mess this team is currently. But a mess that is somehow (Chad Barrett) getting results even with a tactical plan stolen from a poorly performing U15 team.

And Houston is on the eventual horizon. And a playoff spot could be in jeopardy.

Not ready to bad-mouth everything and everyone quite yet, but won't be surprised at a flame-out either.

Had to get something off our collective chest as we needed to make sure our answers were properly documented before the match tomorrow evening.

And now it is.

What would a team look like if it was convinced it was going to win the game before the opening whistle?

And then how would that team behave when it scored a goal?

AND could a team sabotage itself so badly in the second half by playing lazily that it threw two points out the window?

The Pow Wow knows the answers to all these questions and more.

Before we head to Kansas City we have a CCL game against the Whitecaps to manage and the Pow Wow looks at upcoming changes and hopes and dreams of Champions League in days to come.

Also, what may happen against Sporting Kansas City and how much we love us some Sounders (don't you?).

Looking ahead to the first of two Whitecaps matches this next week and whether or not there is something peculiar going on with the "tumor."

Another 2-1 win at home (and that's good). A third try to get a result against San Jose (in their home, that's not so good).

Troy is away so Katy and Jonathon spend some time together discussing Sounders stuff and Fantasy stuff (not THOSE fantasies...get your mind out of the gutter).

That certainly was a game, now wasn't it? For all the hype of a Cascadia Cup match combined with 64k fans, we were treated to a game. And the Sounders won. So that's good, right?

And next week Toronto stop by. And perhaps they will put a shot or two more on frame? And then where will sorry get us?

Aaaand the good times lasted two games. Then the anemic offense stepped back onto the field and suddenly the sky is falling again.

Pesky everything that doesn't go our way.

Took long enough to break that there slump, but with Oba, anything is possible, right?
